- The placement cell especially of CSE branch are very active. They are the one whom you can trust blindly in the placement time.
- The campus life in KIIT is literally very soothing. You get enough free time to explore the campus as well as the sports facilities. In 1st year you have to follow some rules but from 2nd year there are lot of relaxations.
Dislikes
- According to me the fees of the institute is much. The ROI(Return of investment) of this college not that good for lower branches.
- Sometime the wardens of the hostels became too irritating for the students. They are the one whom the student dislikes the most.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have chosen the cse branch of my interest in coding. Here the student-teacher ratio is 80:1 as it is private here the student number is a little bit high. Now Coming to the faculty members are very good at teaching and friendly in nature, and some of them are highly qualified in their respective fields. Almost every assistant professor is a Ph.D. holder in their respective subject. Here all the semester exams are divided into two parts mid-semester exams and end-semester exams. Mid sem exams are held normally after 2 months after the start of the classes and end-semester exams are held at the end of the semester. The exam is not that tough to pass if you are regular in class you can easily score a very good CGPA. Reminder, 75% attendance is mandatory for classes.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am giving the detailed fee structure of KIIT here. Here are 8 semesters of a B. Tech course and each semester has a 175000 institutional fee. that is 1475000 for 8 semesters and 75000 for registration and the laptop it is considered only once at the time of the registration. And the mess fee is 22500 for each semester. Here you can get a merit scholarship of 10k Rs/month if you can get under 1000 rank in kiitee exam for up to 4 years. And you have to pass each semester without a backlog and have to secure a minimum 7.5 sgpa each semester to continue your scholarship for 4 years. Excluding this, the top 3 of each department will be awarded the same amount up to their next semester. I am a first-year student so till now I have had no internship experience.
Campus Life
Recently here KIIT carnival took place and believe me it was just amazing. Veteran singer Sunidhi Chauhan came here and had a star night in kiit cricket stadium and that was really a spectacular show. The central library of KIIT has 5 floors and it is full of good books, foreign journals, research papers, etc. In fact, it is a world-class library on each floor you can find department-wise books and other things. The classroom is very well decorated here each classroom has a smart board, ac, lots of fans, a projector, etc. Sports facilities are one of the most well-known facilities here. Almost all types of sports grounds and equipment are available here and with the kehlo india campaign, you can take your sports career to another level by using the sports facilities. And there are various types of social clubs and groups which you can join if you are interested.
Admission
There is an entrance exam called kiitee for kiit. According to the rank got in kiitee exam, you can choose your branch. The cutoff for cse branch is up to 3,000. Students who got rank under 1000 in kiitee exam can avail scholarship offered by kiit of 10k/month for up to 4 years following certain criteria. One should have 60% percent marks in his 12th exam to sit in kiitee exam. After qualifying for the exam you have to pay 75k rs(10k admission fee-non refundable and 65k laptop fee-refundable) to book your seats in your respective branch which you have got through counseling.
