Course Curriculum Overview
I am an enthusiastic humanities student who topped my board exams. This course provides me with a wide avenue to explore myself, especially international law which I am extremely interested in as I do a lot of MUNs. I even judge mun conferences. We have 7 subjects in the first semester and one faculty for each of the subjects. Law subjects usually have permanent faculty but the management subjects like economics are usually taught by management scholars who are doing PhD research which makes it difficult for us to comprehend as they do not have much expertise. Essentially, they all believe that every student is from a commerce background. I am currently giving my end-semester exams and they are pretty straightforward forward however they were pretty lengthy.
Internships Opportunities
There are Wide opportunities for internships and there are a lot of seniors who have done internships with khaitan, trilegal, and other crucial law firms. This can be looked at at the LinkedIn profiles of the students, usually, it is through the internship cells. The internship cell of our college provides a structured database of internships provided in the past on their main site.
Placement Experience
The placement is average which is generally not availed by most of the students. It offers a nominal package but is not provided to every student. They are usually litigation-based internships, students are eligible for pre-placement offers from 4th year. 4-5 lakh per annum are the average packages offered but the internship cell is very active in terms of listing all the internships provided by the university on the official website of the cell. I want to pursue LLM in international law post this degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure includes around 1 lakh per annum which amounts to around 6 lakhs total essentially. The fees are pretty normal considering that it is a Delhi government-related university. The fees have been hiked for the first semester only. I have not availed of any financial assistance or scholarship.
Campus Life
Anugoonj is the biggest fest that is held every year in February and now it is in march 2023. There are various fests organized on a departmental basis such as a tech fest for USICT which is open to all the USS students. So our university does not only comprise law students but students from all the fora providing an opportunity for interaction and holistic development. The campus is huge having separate areas for different sports such as table tennis, badminton, football, cricket, chess, etc. All the clubs are operated by students themselves such as the moot court society, debating society, adr cell, etc. We have access to two libraries, the law library and the central library which is common for all schools.
Admission
The course I availed for requires a minimum clat rank. My rank was around 3000 in clat which provided me a seat for the same in the general category. Usually, it is the last rank for eligibility for the course as the majority of the people are from the rank of 1500 to 2500. Application forms can be availed through the official site of IPU. The process is a bit complex and has various stages such as the first round to 4 rounds and the spot round and finally the open round. The process can even go on till the end of the semester as happened in our case. I got into the second round. Filling in the form in the first round itself is advised because the seats of USLLS are not left empty and it is difficult to get the same. Application dates commence usually after the clat process ends.

The location of the college is very deserted. It takes me from uttam nagar to travel to college daily around 3 hours both sides included. No time was left for my studies, attendance was a major issue which they were very strict about but my university is
