Likes

Campus and the people here. All facilities available but at a bit high price
Facilities like banking, post office, food stalls, food courts all are available inside only
Playground is also very big you can make your career in that field also if you are good in any sports or games then

Dislikes

I disliked the system and rules they have made like you cant cancel your mess and hostel facilities and get refund after 2 or 3 moths from your admission date
Security is very tight here. You will get UMC if you are caught doing some mischiefs like drinking, smoking
You can't bring non veg inside. You will not get non veg also in mess

Course Curriculum Overview

I opt this course for because I'm interested in web and app development. I love to solve problems. And at LPU the majority of the students are in Computer Science and Engineering branch only. For the year 2022 approx 15000+ students got admitted here in Computer Science Branch only. The faulties are also good here. They are supportive and helping also. But for that you also need to keep good bond with them so then only you can get a positive response from that side.

Placement Experience

The placement is very good here. No one is left without being placed. At the end of the 4th year, everyone is placed. It depends on personal skills, and knowledge also. Top companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and Flipkart also come here.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees for Bachelor in Technology for Computer Science and Engineering branch are very high. And LPU takes a lot of money from students. For me after getting a 30% scholarship by giving an LPUNEST exam my fee details are like Tuition fees are 96000 per semester, hostel fees(4 seater ac) are 65000, and mess(standard mess) is 35000.

Campus Life

social life, club & infrastructure is very good here. There will not be any single day when you will find that no event is going on. Many popular celebrities also keep visiting the University to motivate the students and also to have some fun with them.

Admission

Firstly, you need to apply from the admission.lpu website then you need to pay min 10,000 for booking your seat after that I guess 1000 will be charged for the LPUNEST entrance exam. You are required to give and qualify for the entrance exam i.e. LPUNEST on the basis of which you can get a scholarship also. After that, you need to book a hostel and mess also. And for that also you need to pay some minimum amount like approx 15000. Then when you will report to the university you will have to get your documents verified by the admission office. To be eligible for this course you will have to score 65% above in 12th with PCM and then you will have to qualify for the LPUNEST entrance exam also. Application forms can be found online easily you just need to search admissions at lpu then you will get the very first link of that website only because LPU spends a lot of money on advertising.

Likes

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Dislikes

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Likes

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

Inside NITJ- Beyond the Brochure

Likes

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts
Skilled professional educators and tutors

Dislikes

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

Placement Experience:

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements and tata or Infosys companies visited and about 60 to 70 percent students were placed and my plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies doing mtech from iit

I like the machines that's why I choose the mechanical branch in engineering line. Noida , Gurgoan , Chandigarh , Bengluru and many other areas for improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late
Great mentors and very helpful teachers who are always willing to help

Dislikes

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
