Course Curriculum Overview

4

I have chosen this course because I am very passionate about sailing and I want to explore the world. The faculty in this college is very well-experienced and highly trained officers and engineers. The students here are from different parts of the country. The teaching method is very good and practicals will be taught here. Exams are conducted in a very strict manner with camera surveillance.

Internships Opportunities

5

Internships are will not be provided by the college for every batch but a few batches will get the opportunity to get internships from Kochi port and Visakhapatnam port etc. projects should be done by the final year students as well as 3rd-year students. the projects will be guided by the trained faculty.

Placement Experience

4

From the 6th semester onwards the students are eligible for campus placements and companies like dockendale, MSC, pill, etc will be taking the interview in this college. One student can attend an interview twice or thrice till he gets the placement. 50%of students from the class will get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for marine engineering is 2,75,000 per year. The fee is a bit less compared to other colleges and scholarships are often provided in the college. There will be eligibility criteria for the scholarships. The campus placements will happen every year for the pass-out batches and upcoming pass-out batches.

Campus Life

3

Life at the campus will be very joyful and all kinds of facilities are provided in this college for extracurricular activities. The intra-college fest will take place every year and one engineer's fest will be taken place. The library is available with great infrastructure and with all kinds of core subjects related books for reference.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel facilities are very good and the infrastructure is very good and the rooms are very well maintained. Food quality will be poor and the menu is very poor but the hostel facilities are good. The registration process for the hostel will be done along with the admission process. No pg and rented rooms are allowed.

Admission

There will be an IMUCET exam, it should be qualified to get a seat in the Btech marine engineering. In 12th physics, maths, and chemistry subjects percentage should be more than 60%. Medically should fit in all aspects like eyesight, without fractures, or colour blindness. On the IMU official website, the application form will be available and the application fee will be 1000 rupees for IMU-CET. The application dates will be provided on the website itself. Reservation benefits are available in the case of the ranking system of the IMUCET exam. The admission process is very complicated and it is difficult to get admission to a reputed college and we have to choose the residential course and we have to stay in the hostel only. As of now admission process is going in a very well-mannered and in secure way. No other improvements are required.

The curriculum is relevant and provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. It prepares students for real-world applications, but more industry projects, practical sessions, and updated teaching methods would help. Exams are generally well-spaced and moderately difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it covers important subjects related to computer science, programming, databases, networking, and emerging technologies. The combination of theoretical knowledge and practical subjects influenced my decision to choose this course. The curriculum provides a good foundation in technical concepts and programming. However, more practical projects, industry-based training, internships, and real-world applications would help students become better prepared for careers and further studies.
