The college life is really great at dtu.
The campus is big and there are lots of things happening.
The seniors in the college are really great as they help you in whatever difficulty you face.

Dislikes

The college has 85% reservations for delhi students which makes it difficult for people outside delhi to get admission.
Only some professors teach well and care about the students.

Course Curriculum Overview

I always had an interest in mechanical engineering so I chose this course. I have 73 students in my class with a total of 300 in mechanical engineering. The faculty is quite skilled with almost everyone with a Ph.D. degree. The exams are usually for 2 months and it is quite easy to pass them.

Class Size: 73Course Fees: INR 168000 per year

Internships Opportunities

For tech companies first, there is an online coding round followed by an interview. The companies that visit during placements also visit the college during internships. You obviously have to do lots of projects as the competition is very high.

Placement Experience

You become eligible for placement in the 7th or 8th semester. Lots of companies visit the college and almost everyone who appears for placement gets placed. Some of the companies are Google, Amazon, TCS, Facebook, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees increase by 10% every year. In the first year, it is 168000. There are many types of scholarships. There is a quota base scholarship for sc and st. There is also an e-district scholarship provided by the Delhi government. Also, there is merit base scholarship provided by the college.

Campus Life

Campus life at DTU is really amazing. We have our annual cultural fest called Engifest and our tech fest and literature and film festival all conducted in February. The library is filled with books which you can issue. Sports facilities are also great. There are also loads of societies which you can join.

Admission

The admission was on the basis of jee mains. To apply for the college you have to fill out the form jac Delhi. The registration fees for jac Delhi counseling were 1500. I have obc category. I think the admission process was really good.

Good college for leaning and enjoy campus life.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

If you got no placement then they will give you the opportunity to start the startup. starting the 4th year you get the placement and opportunities. this college visits many companies like Amazon HCL Flipkart etc. this college's highest package is 26 LPA and the average package is 10.5 LPA. 80% of students get placed. my plan is after taking the degree I will start my startup.

A NICE LITTLE INFO ON MY FAV. DTU

I have applied to GGSIPU , AKTU and other state colleges , I got admission in all of them but DTU was better than them So i chose it I also managed to crack bits goa but the fees was legit too high for me to afford I get rejected from lower NITS because of my rank. Rank is the only deciding factor in getting into college, nothing else college admission was just like school admission. The only difference was the huge pile of documents. You have to submit so many papers, category documents, residence documents To be eligible, you need to score at least 60% in your Class 12th boards for all category students You also have to sit for the JEE exam, and your admission depends entirely on your JEE rank...Read More
