DTU , a paradise with it’s own flaws.

I chose mechanical engineering because I was allotted this seat according to my preferences and my rank. Faculty at DTU are well versed in their field, they have correct and abundant information on their subjects. Famous authors such as AK JHA were also a facility here. Teaching happens normally in DTU, offline classes are held in proper classrooms with correct decorum and discipline. University exams are moderate to pass and can be managed through consistency since DTU has relative grading.

One can apply for offline and online internships. Main internship opportunities start from 3rd year of the curriculum. All major companies like Amazon, Samsung, DE Shaw, and Microsoft come to provide internship opportunities. Every company has almost the same internship selection process though it might vary sometimes. 1) ONLINE CODING ROUND - consists of MCQs based on aptitude and knowledge of your branch. 2) 2-3 Rounds of Interviews. 3) Hr Round.

The placements at DTU are too notch and can compete with top IITs in the country. The average package offered for core branches is 15-18 lakhs per annum and the average package for software branches are 20-25 lakhs per annum. The highest package offered can range up to 1.2 crores. Companies such as Apple, Microsoft, Adobe, etc. come to DTU to offer job opportunities.

Recently there has been a fee hike and the fees are now approximately? 2,30,300 per year in BTECH courses excluding hostel and mess fees. Hostel and mess services would cost you ? 1-2 lakh more per year. There are scholarships for students with low financial aid.

There's everything you can ask for in this college, from a really vast sports complex to annual fests. DTU holds annual fests like Engifest which is north India's largest cultural fest, YUVAAN which is north India's largest literature and film fest, etc. The whole of February is termed as Fest-Feb since it's packed with exciting artists, concerts, and various activities to enjoy. DTU also provides students with a large 3-story library with a vast variety, students are provided with every kind of book they would need during their college life. DTU also holds AHVAAN which is an annual sports fest between renowned institutions such as IITs and NITs. One can find a lot of societies and clubs in this college.

To take admission to DTU one should clear the entrance examination of JEE Mains. After your JEE Mains result is out then you have to apply for Joint Admission Council Delhi (JAC Delhi). JAC Delhi is the common admission counseling conducted for admission to DTU, IGDTUW, IIIT-D, and NSUT.JAC Delhi registration can be done online on the official website where the candidates can avail of allotted seats based on their preferred choice and their rank secured in JEE Mains. In JAC Delhi one can benefit from reservation benefits just like in any central university but categories might vary from university to university.
