Likes

I loved the behaviour of the faculty they are so polite and the way they teach by taking industrial examples is best
Infrastructure is amazing you feels like you are in the most beautiful place when you seat anywhere
Placement service and placement department is very good they will teach you everything and give experience of interviews for the placement

Dislikes

Fee structure and the hostel facilities are not good
Security guards are so strict and will not listen to you

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is very good. All subjects are useful you will never feel that any subject that it is waste of time and the assignments are also relevant to our course and will help you in the future. The teachers are well qualified I got many Ph.D. teachers and they teach really well and they are so friendly. The term exam is after 2-3 months we have midterms after 2 months of it we have the end term and the level of the end term is good.

Internships Opportunities

Ola, Uber, Microsoft, TCS, etc. are these companies that provide internships. Placement for a summer internship at LPU. A large no of students is assigned to the summer internship placement program. The highest stipend for the summer internship placement campaign of 2022 was INR 80,000.

Placement Experience

From 5-6 semesters students are eligible to seat in placements approx 900-1200 companies visit every year for placements in university. There are many dream companies and packages students got of 34lpa and 64 LPA. Most of the student get placed more than 70% of students get placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost of the study is definitely high because of its wonderful infrastructure, well-educated teachers and the most important thing is the placements for scholarships we have to pass the LPUNEST exam to get a scholarship.

Campus Life

Youth vibe is one of the biggest feasts hosted in the university in collaboration with many clubs. Many industry host tech fests and hackathons for students to get real-world knowledge. There are many clubs in the university you can join but the criteria are their minimum 6 CGPA. Should be One of the best clubs is DYC which hosts the biggest fests in the university recently the magnitude.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel rooms are not worth furniture is not so good but the room service is very good and the messy food is also not so good it's just average but there are many food courts where you can eat whatever you want at minimal charges. There are so many PGS nearby but if you are a decent person so I'll not prefer you to in-law gate go for PGS in Phagwara or Jalandhar.

Hostel Fee: INR 102000 per year

Admission

The admission process was so smooth. I just filled out a form they called me back and give me all the information about the college the fee structure and about the LPUNEST scholarship exam. Then I paid them 1000rs for the LPUNEST exam and I studied for it just basics from the NCERT and I was also preparing for JEE that's why I cracked it in the first cutoff and got a 38% scholarship. There is a reservation available.

Likes

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Dislikes

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Likes

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

Likes

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late
Great mentors and very helpful teachers who are always willing to help

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
