Course Curriculum Overview

4

The reason why I chose this course is that I preferred college over the stream. Since then has studied and completed 3 semesters in a hard deadline of 1 year, and given back-to-back exams because again we were/are the 'COVID batch'. Nevertheless, it has been a rewarding journey too. The faculty here as any other college would have is mixed. There are some extremely good professors who really persuade and like to help the kids in any way possible. Their qualifications are also commendable. The kind of support these teachers provide is really to be thankful for. Reviewing teaching methods is also seamless as we are supposed to fill out teaching feedback forms which help us to keep a check. Exams are held timely as per the length of a semester and the difficulty always varies.

Placement Experience

3.5

From the end of the second year people are eligible for internships and by the end of the year for placements, every year top class MNCs come and offer great packages to the students, average package is 15-17 lakhs, highest has gone until 1.25 cr, 80-90% of the students get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

Annual fees right now are 2,16,000/- right now however a lot of scholarship programs and student loan benefits are also provided. A few of my friends have availed of these and describe them to be beneficial

Campus Life

4

Life at college is extremely good. The infrastructure is something I really like complimenting the greenery of the grass and various flowers. There are good lecture halls, libraries, canteens, hostels etc. The annual cultural and tech fest is held yearly in the month of march and is known by the name of MOKSHA Innovision. The library is well-equipped with books and journals that are very helpful to everyone. The classrooms are well equipped with Ac, smart teaching techniques, charging ports etc. The sports culture is also well promoted in our college, Agasty is the annual sports fest conducted and Winter Sports in which all the year students compete with each other. There are a lot of societies ranging from dramatics, debating, singing, tech, consulting, finance, photography, arts and a lot more to give students a detailed experience of a fun college life.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel Facility is good. There are 4 booys hostel and 3 girls hostel provided with Ac and Non Ac accommodations. In girls hostel, the one I am in is triple seater facility having a connected bathroom and a kitchen. The menu is i would say above average,Registration process for hostel is through the college portal.

Admission

So the admission process was a bit tedious, a 2-year long preparation for JEE is required for which some of the students start preparing from the 9th itself, and hours and hours of coaching in various coaching centres like FIITJEE, VMC, Akash is opted by students. This whole JEE preparation is like a race in which if a person takes a slight holdback then there are millions of kids to cross you over. I personally started my journey from 11th standard by joining VMC Noida centre and opted for a weekend batch but further on got upgraded to a good ranked batch wherein I found extremely good exposure.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.
