What Students Say

Likes

The Placements are quite good in the LPU.
The availability of extra curricular activities for students are good.
The Faculty is Good and responding, helpful incase of any problem.

Dislikes

The Faculty can improve their way of teaching

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I have an interest in Data Science and the LPU is offering a B.Tech CSE degree with a Specialization in Data Science in collaboration upgrade so that's the reason why I choose this course. The Faculty is well qualified and most of them are having a Ph.D. degree. The faculty is good to interact with the students and helping the students regarding their problems. There were 2 exams in a semester which were conducted in the Mid of the Semester and One is conducted at the End of the Semester. The exam is not so difficult to pass if you have studied properly and also you can pass easily if you have given your CA's and Mid Terms Properly.

Class Size: 72Course Fees: INR 230000 per year

Placement Experience

The placements are quite good. The Placement Cell's aim is to place each and every student. The average package is 6 lakhs and Maximum Package at On campus placement is 40 Lakhs. Students are eligible for placements from the last of 3rd semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

The hike in fees is not good because there are some children who are not able to pay fees due to their Financial Condition so the hike in fee each and every year is not good. The LPU is providing great opportunities to needy students, the LPU's own LPUNEST scholarship is best because it is 100% sure that if you are taking admission to LPU you will get Scholarship for Sure.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life is the best of its kind at LPU. The LPU provides opportunities to the students to take part in different fests as there are many organizations working under the aegis of DSW. The infrastructure of LPU is at the topmost level you'll get AC classrooms, and 2-3 elevators in each block.

Admission

There was a test to take admission named LPUNEST which was conducted by the university. The application form can be found on the University Website. The Exam fee was 500 and the exams were conducted as per the different schedules given by the university. No reservation benefits. No need for an admission process.

Other Applied Colleges

Amity University | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

Because LPU is much great than tha Amity Noida

The university provides good exposure to technical courses, eventrs , clubs, and extracurricular activities.
The campus has good labs, a library, and facilities that support students academic development.

The fees are high and losing a scholarship due to cgpa requirements can create a significant financial burden.
More personalized mentorship and regular career guidance sessions would help student prepare for their future carees.
more internship opportunities would further improve students professional growth.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the CSE curriculum covers relevant subjects and provides a good foundation programming and computer science. It prepares students for futher studies and careers, through more industry-based projects and practical learning would be bemigficial. Exams include MSTs and ESTs, with a manageable difficulty level through regi;ar preparation.

campus life is absolutely banger and it is great to have friends here
crowd is bonkers , except some local peeps , they'd be behaving weird
major events like freshers and orientation , they bring crazzy artists

Dislikes

hectic schedules drain the soul of you .
frequent exams test that are totally unnecesary
attendance is another nuisance , having 75 percent is must

Placement Experience:

placements of 2.8 cr occured but it was only one , most of the placements packages go under 8 lpa and extra fees has to be paid in order to be eligible for placement drives and that too doen't ensure the placement

A TOUR TO CGC LANDRAN

Likes

Events are more frequent here and most of the stars from punjabi industry are called more often for film promotions
No ragging is there infact seniors are friendly and try to help juniors
TPP (training and placement program) is provided that help students to crack placements

Dislikes

Attendance criteria (minimum 75 % is essential to maintain to be eligible to give exams)
Class timings are fixed from 9:15 to 4:35 and you can not enter in between 10 to 12:00 PM as gates are closed for this duration
Strength is rapidly increasing as new courses are introduced which increases competition during placements

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement students need to enroll in TPP(Training and placement program) in order to get eligible for campus placement, Many companies visit our campus for eg Capgemini, LNT, ZSCALER, EDIFECS, AMAZON, PWC, WATCHGUARD TECHNOLOGIES etc overall above 200 offerrs are made to our senior batch with the highest package of 32LPA and average package of around 4.5LPA. more than 60% of students get placed . I am also sitting for campus placement and wish to get placed soon

College Life is Fun, Various activities and events happen in and around college, you got to know about others and crowd is also decent, Mostly Students are from northern regions that is Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand .
Teachers are good and placement coordinators also help students to get good package on campus. a decent package can be bagged by a student if he/she seriously study and obtain a decent CGPA in exam. Make sure you clear all exams till 8th semester.
Infrastructure Is also good, laboratories are fitted with new desktops and campus size is also decent, Tuck shops and various Canteens are available inside the campus. Also Central Library is there inside the campus where students can study in exam t

Dislikes

The curriculum for 1st and 2nd semester is purely based on subjects that you studied in 11th and 12th, the advance versions of those topics are there in 1st and 2nd semester which make it difficult for students to get good grades.
The placement in other branches like Mechanical, electrical is mere, and one can face difficult in getting on campus placement if he/she belongs to these streams. Also Lack of practical knowledge is there in these streams, Theory is more focused.
If one opt for hostels, then the hostel facilities are not as good as it should be , the mess food is pathetic and one can face difficulty if he/she opt for hostel, also campartively hostel fees are also very high, whereas nearby Pg's are cheaper

Placement Experience:

placement is good in our college. Aveage package is 400000, and average package for cse stream is approx 500000. Various companies like alstom, infosys, accenture, TCS, Wipro, amazon, Walmart, JP Morgan chase and co. etc visit campus every year and recruit students. Approx 300+ companies visit campus and above 80% of cse students are placed but In other streams like ECE.EE and ME etc placements are campartively lower and students face difficulty in order to get placed. MY plan is job oriented i also want to get placed on campus and hope so i will get placed in a good company.
