I like the fact that you are not restrained by any uniforms in the university and you are free to dress as you like .
The fact that the uni provides us lot of opportunities for co curricular activities is also something I love

Dislikes

The requirement of strict 75% attendance.
The crowd is very huge with more than 50k students enrolled in the whole university

Course Curriculum Overview

I had to go for computer science engineering as it was my ideal course. Faculty to student ratio is approx 1:78 in every class. Faculties are just fairly qualified. You can't expect the best of faculties, you have to do your skill enhancement by yourself. Teaching methods are just ok. You are faced with frequent class assessments, and you have a mid-term and an end-term every semester. You will have 2 semesters a year. Exams are not that hard in the first years at least they progressively get more difficult.

I am currently in my first year so I have hardly been part of any internships. But yeah I am currently part of a project called the picosat. And that has had a huge effect on me, as it allows me to discover new things about new branches and also helps me to enhance my project management and team management skills.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fess for btech cse is 120000 per semester But you are able to receive an easy 40 per cent scholarship thus you get around 144000 for a year to pay. Scholarships are offered via LPUNEST or even 12th and 10th marks and other entrance examinations such as JEE.

Campus Life

There are literally too many events happening every now and then in LPU. Annually we have one India and one world fest and many carnivals and other minor fests hosted by student organisations. And the library is one of the best library facilities provided by any university in India. Classrooms are equipped with projectors and acs and a fair share of charging points for every individual. Sports are highly supported at lpu and even a 100 per cent scholarship is offered to anyone who has a national certificate. I am a part of Coding Ninjas Lpu, one of the many student clubs at LPU LPU also provides lots many cafes and food stalls along with canteens. Also has its own mall and dominoes.

Hostel Facilities

Both non-AC and AC hostels are provided. Tables beds sanitised washrooms and a healthy environment present. The registration process is very easy, you can avail of the services directly from the online portal of lpu.

Hostel Fee: INR 70000 per year

Admission

Lovely Professional University is a great university if you are not able to score well in competitive exams such as JEE mains or state board entrance examinations. It provides courses at fairly low prices and everyone is able to score their scholarships. Along with the scholarships it gets you to somewhere around 5 lacs to 8 lacs of fees for the whole course ( not including residential and food charges ). It provides fair placements and gives you good opportunities, all depends if you can grab them

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late
Great mentors and very helpful teachers who are always willing to help

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
