What Students Say

Likes

Placements are very good in our college.
The overall college behaviour is not strict.

Dislikes

Campus is too small for students to enjoy their college life.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I am very interested in coding that's why I have opted for BTech CSE. Some faculties are good while some are not. Almost all faculties have done Ph.D. or currently completing their Ph.D. Seasonal exams were after 2 months of admission and exactly 1 month after that term exams started. The difficulty level was not so much high.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 170000 per year

Internships Opportunities

I am a fresher. I am an undergrad who started pursuing btech from this college just 4 months ago. That's why I do not know much about internship opportunities. As placement opportunities are highlighted during admission so I know about them.

Placement Experience

From the 4th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Many companies visit our college every year and we have an average package of 9L+. The highest package is 66 lakhs/year (off-campus) which was offered by Google and 44 lakhs/year (on-campus) which was offered by Amazon. I am planning to prepare for CAT for doing MBA.

Fees and Financial Aid

In 2022, there is a hike of 40,000/yr in fees for our course. Earlier it was 1,30,000/yr but currently, it is 1,70,000/yr. Overall, it is a bit expensive to study here. As such, no scholarships are provided by the institute, but scholarships provided by the government of Delhi can be availed.

Campus Life

2.5

The name of our annual fest is "Anugoonj" which is conducted on the main campus of GGSIPU in the month of February or March. The name of our tech fest is "Malhaar" which is conducted in our college only in the month of November. The classrooms are very spacious. The library has almost all the books that are needed during the completion of btech. The campus is not too big. But sports are promoted here. And there are a lot of societies for the overall development of a student.

Admission

The college takes admission on the basis of rank obtained in JEE MAINS through GGSIPU counseling. Reservation benefits are there for defense, sc, st, etc. The admission process is executed too late. The final result was out in the last week of October.

How Good B.Tech. from JAMIA MILLIA ISLAMIA is?

Likes

Here in Jamia the faculty is very experienced in their fields , they make you feel Engineering and not to just read books. there teaching methods are amog the top in the nation
the curriculum not just focus on your engineering but also focuses on your personality development.
the infrastructure itself gives you the feel of oldness and the reputation of the college.

Dislikes

one bad thing is its less availability of Hostel rooms .
there is a very strict rule of 75% attendance .

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

There are many labs for every subject either it's of EE, ECE, CSE

Dislikes

New college so there are no societies or clubs.
Fees is too high for general category students.
No facilities of hostel available in our college

The Dream College Life

Likes

The campus is completely different from the whole city, it is more cleaner and is quiet peaceful with various different beautiful views at different points and is not too big so could easily walk through the campus.
Has really great architecture of the buildings and is surrounded by really intelligent people including some over the top profs and some really great minds from the country.
The night life is completely different and is one of the best part of staying in campus.

Dislikes

some of the hostels are quiet old and need renovation.

Placement Experience:

If you study passionately and have decent communication skills and some important competencies, I assure you that you will secure a position in a great company. Here at IIT Delhi, you earn what you work for; you can receive salary packages as high as 2 crores, but some offers start as low as 4 lakhs per annum.
