Course Curriculum Overview

4

The mechanical diploma was my dream or you can say aim as I used to love machines from my childhood. The faculty has a ratio of 65 students and 6 teachers for a particular subject and even there were consulting teachers for better future guidance. Almost all the teachers were Btech and mtech, who taught us. The exams used to be 2 unit tests and 1 semester in the end, usually 1-1 1/2 month gap used to be there in between unit tests. The exams used to be kind of difficult as they used to cover a good portion of our syllabus and used to be brainstorming for us.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees were around 89 thousand which used to include our all expenses like library fees, lab fees and our practical fees also. There were many machines for us to use such as a lathe machine, drilling machine, spot welding, and many such for our better understanding.

Campus Life

4.5

We used to have an annual fest as resonance which used to be held in the month of February. It includes dj night and many cultural programs. The library was big enough and used to have every book in good quality and quantity. The classroom was occupied with mang facilities like white board, and projectors. As the resonance was a fest for us, it used to have many sports like badminton, kabaddi, cricket, tennis, carrom, and tug of war, I was the runner-up in badminton and our team was the winner of tug of war.

Admission

The eligibility for the course was after 10th marks or after 12th directly for second-year admission and even for ITI students directly in the second year. The application form and dates are available on the government website of Maharashtra dte site. The fees were nominal as the charges were also not soo much.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Why I chose the course: The course has a good mix of theory, practical subjects, labs and technical skills, which influenced my decision. Real-world preparation: The curriculum gives basic industry knowledge and practical experience. It is also useful for higher studies. Improvements: More practical projects, industry visits, updated technology and hands-on training would make the course better. Teaching could be more practical and interactive. Exams: Internal exams are conducted during the semester and university exams at the end. The difficulty is moderate and manageable with regular study.

Placement Experience:

Placement strategies is different for every department. Like most computer engineering students wants higher education. Mechanical, civil and automobile students not that much interested in higher education. Teachers of placement department are very active in there work they gave us more information and counseling like who have to get higher education and who gave to be placed. Students fills a google form which os about students placements, according to that they know how many students are interested in placement and higher education. Companies like TATA, VPRO and other are came for campus in our college various tests and interviews are taken then salary and other things are discussed. Many students get pass in interview. The ratio is about to 30% students get placed every years from campus.

Placement Experience:

As I have heard people mostly get placements from this college itself. If not they go for their degrees and take placement there. The salary is mostly around 5 lakhs per annum which is decent enough for most students. According to the principal from the college if a student studies afterwards for degrees this number racks up to 18 lakhs.
