Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I opted for the mathematics and computer branches, although I was getting CSAI too, it's because I'm interested in maths more. Here on mac, you study 60% of maths and 40% of computers. You'll read all the subjects of cse and higher mathematics. The teachers are good here, I mean they teach well but I won't say that they are really good. I mean just okay but this is the case for every college even IITs. In NSUT you get a good student ratio in our class it is 1:5 boys to girl ratio. But don't worry in the whole college it is quite good around 1:3 (because of BBA). The qualification of teachers is really great, all of them are either pursuing PhD or they've qualified, but it's about the way of teaching, only 2 out of 6 professors are good rest just come as time pass. Here comes exams, exams are really a problem in nsut. Exams are strict. I mean no way of cheating. And the monthly test is there. It is quite easy to pass the exams. You'll have to study since starting.

Placement Experience

4.5

Students become available for placements from 3rd year. It means you'll get your job before your 4th-year exams. There are a lot of companies which visit a campus like Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Atlassian, De- Shaw etc. The average offer offered by them is greater than 40lpa. Google offers 45lpa, Microsoft offers 55lpa and so on. In tech branches 95-98% of students get placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee of nsut in the 1st year is 219000, for the 2nd year 229000, for the 3rd year 235000 and for the 4th year is 244000, and it's increasing year by year. Hostel fees are around 55k per semester. Here are a few scholarships like the mean cums merit scholarship and post matric scholarship, which shall really help you in your study journey. For placements, nsut is competing with IITs. And I will say the kind of facilities nsut is providing fees is kinda okay.

Campus Life

4

The campus of nsut is 150 acres in area. Which is boring, I mean there are two fountains, and it's pretty but you will find it pretty for only a few days. After that, you'll feel bored. The best fest of nsut is MOKSHA and it's one of the biggest fests in northern India. You must come to enjoy this fest. Moksha is organised in April. There are all kinds of books in the library. So you're not going to be disappointed if you're a bookworm. Classrooms in nsut are the best, even better than IIT's. They are known as APJ Halls, but the sad part is that these classrooms are for only 1st years. There are lots of societies in Nsut, whatever you can think, and there shall be a society for that. And the budget of each society is amazing too.

Admission

One gets admission to NSUT through JEE mains CRL. So you must have secured at least 96+ percentile for admission to NSIT. It's a tier 1 college. The admission process is quite simple. First, up to get admission to NSUT one must have at least got under 50k rank for good branches. For MAC it's about 22k. NSUT comes under JAC. So if you want to take admitted to NSUT you must fill out the form for JAC Delhi. It's a kind of counselling as JOSAA. Students with categories can get tech branches with low ranks too. The admission process is so hectic, and you must have all the documents handy.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.
