Review on LPU

One of the main disadvantage to some is the huge amd ever increasing strength in the campus. Sometimes, Huge strength is problematic. Next is resolvement of complaints takes a lot of time and hectic process in campus. The else all are good.

LPUNEST is the entrance examination to be written to get admission to LPU. I had scored 150 marks in NEST (2014).

I am from Computer Science branch and I will say that the course structure has improved a lot and keeps on updating year by year. Now, the curriculum is industry and placements oriented and many companies like SAP labs , Oracle have tie-ups with LPU that provides access to their industry oriented courses.

Yes! Many National and Multi National Companies visit The campus for offering Internship in the pre-final or final year of study. Some of the recent companies include Kony Labs, TEK systems, Morgan Stanley and many more. The stipend of internship starts from 10K and ranges upto 50K

As the course structure is industry and placements oriented, more companies tend to come to placements for LPU. Companies like Ritz Carlton & Qatar Airways offered dream package of over 20.5 lakhs per annum. Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, iGate, ITC Infotech, Amdocs, Atos, Mphasis, Unisys, AON Hewitt, MAQ, CSS Corp, HCL and many more, have shown trust in LPU and recruited students for PAN India operations.

Our University celebrates three big events every year. Of them, the largest is Youthvibe. Youth vibe is the grand annual youth fest where more than 10 communities compete to win audience heart by giving artistic musical, dramatical & Theatrical performances. Anyone from all over the world can participate in this festival and win lots of prizes. The second is One India. This festival represents all the states in India. Their cultures , festivals, dances, food tastes etc.. are exhibited by different teams representing a state. The third is One World. Similar to One India, in One World, different countries are represented and their habits are exhibited. Many technical and branch oriented events happen apart from these like Cypher Challenges, Go Kart racing, Boxing championship and many more. Our University is very famous for celebrating events :D

The fee structure is feasible. If you are having a good score in 12th and qualified NEST, the University provides scholarship upto 5 lakhs per study degree. The scholarship is deducted in the tuition fee every semester. If your 12th score is not so good, i.e. below 80%, the fee would be slightly higher. The tuition fee per semester for B.Tech CASE is around 85K (without any scholarship).

Yes! The University is providing scholarships for meritios students. If your 12th percentage is 90+, the University will provide scholarship of 1 lakh per year and so on. University will provide scholarship upto 80% .

Campus life is pretty good in LPU. You have a huge network from different states and countries united in the campus. You can experience the Diversity of India in our campus. A separate departmentis there to manage student affairs called division of Student affairs. Here, you can join in clubs, organizations and teach or learn something. It's a network of students. All the events will be happened under this department. The best part for freshers is that there will be 0 ragging in the campus. Many workshops and parties will happen very frequently.

Hostels are subject to availability in the campus. The hostel rooms are good. WiFi provided in the hostel is also good. You can choose between AC or Cooler and in them there are options for seaters like two seater rooms, four seater rooms , single seater rooms and dormitories. Laundry facility is provided in the hostel. Mess will be there in every hostel. You can choose between Continental, South Indian or North Indian food. The quality of mess food is above average. If you are not interested in paying mess, there are lots of food stalls available at every corner of the campus that solves food problem.

Taking a senior/alumini experience as an advise adds an advantage. The seniors can be approached easily through social networks or directly in the campus or in student affairs department.

Examination structure of LPU is a bit hard. A course will be having 3 Class Assessments sometimes including a project or term paper. A mid term exam and A final Semester exam. Out of 3 Class Assessments, the best 2 will be counted and added to final course in some percentage (now 25) and mid term is added to 20% and final exam is added to 50% of course percentage. Once habituated, managing exams is so easy.

You can get admission by either LPUNEST or by JEE Mains. You must qualify LPUNEST to get admission to get admission with low fee or even if you didn't qualify NEST, the academic fee would be higher. To apply for NEST, you can do it in the website lpu.in or by reaching the LPU admission office nearest to you.

The faculty in the University are mostly young and Thier teachings are great! Being young faculty, adds a friendly advantage to the students. Interaction with the faculty from the beginning years adds as plus to the student. The faculty will be committed towards the growth of a student and takes personal care or mentorship if necessary.
