Remarks

If you want to be a all-rounder being into studies and all sort of clubs, and other activities and a good placements do join. Other than that I can't get any bad remarks. If I get ll let you know.

Entrance Preview

I wrote kcet and good a decent score, I always wanted to do my studies in a reputed college where the exposure to all-rounder is more and thus I found bmsce to be one among the top. I was not really onto chemical engg but since I was fine with that since I had visited Industries I opted for it and want to continue my future in it. the admission process is simple get a best score in kcet and through option entry you will get into it.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The teachings and academics are quite good, if you have interest in your branch and subjects you could be the best. There are lots of excellent faculty who has higher degree and they will surely help you. Research isn't that good but if you are into it you could make a move.

Internships Opportunities

The internships are provided by some of the companies vising our college giving offers to 3rd and 4th year. The have a good amount of stipend but it's just a few companies for few course students. If you want to do internship outside college department will help you in recommendation or faculty will help.

Placement Experience

4

Placement isn't a problem here in our college but of you expect to be into core companies then it depends on you. Not all branch have good placements. Most of companies come to recruit having average package of 4 lpa. And highest vary year to year more than 25lpa. But overall it depends on you.

College Events

4.5

Fest are one of the best in Bangalore, Utsav being a cultural fest conducted by students where a huge crowd is expected evey year. It's the best I have ever seen. Then comes the Phaseshift which is the technical fest in month of September where educational based events are done. Almost all college of Bangalore participate.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees might be expensive if you are not from government quota. If you are from kcet than around 60k or 30k for aided course. If you are from comes k than about 1.8lakh and management it varies from. Branch to branch from 2lakh to 6lakh or more. So it's better to score good in entrance exam.

Fees and Financial Aid

The students who score top in department gets an amount from college, and there is a scholarship section where you can check and apply for government scholarship etc.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus is located right in heart of city at basavangudi and that's one of reason to choose. The college might be old but infrastructure is good and a new building is about to finish and all granary around the campus. I liked it and crowd is huge since there are 13 if department and Mtech students.and gender ratio is quite similar. Clubs being a hug3 in our college where it's difficult to count number of clubs. So based on interest you could join like robotics, nss, retract, ncc, and long way..

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel are best as far I know there are many blocks inside and outside the college, there is an international block and girls and boys section. The mess is quite ok as far I know. But overall due to my friends who stay there it all good. The rent might be expensive ranging near 1lpa. And food .price.

Alumni/Alumna

Since this college was established long before in 1946, alumni network is an oldest and hence this college is famous for. I had one contact with a person who is aged 50+ who studied in our college.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is best being a autonomous college, the weight age is both for internals and sem end exam. So it's must needed to score in the internals. Not only that you also have self study component and quiz that carry mark. So it makes not only depend on exam.

Admission

The admission is simple considered to other private college having own entrance exam. Just a good rank in the kcet and a good option entry in rounds will make into this college. I knew this college before due to most of the seniors and the location too favored me to choose this college.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty are very good in all the branches, it not easy to get into college by so easily as a faculty. most of them have PhD and M.S, Mtech in top university of the world. The faculty help you if you show great interest in subject. They show interest in subject and no doubt the teaching is very good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is a mix of both Computer Science and AIML which is increasingly relevant in today's world. Second year: Subjects like Mathematics for AIML, Data Structures, Stats for Data Science, Computer Networks, Third year: DBMS, ANN, ML operations Some other elevtives are also available and courses like Universal Human Values, POME, EIPR etc. Honestly, POME, EIPR, UHV should have less course credits and probably MCQ type exams (like IC and Yoga in first year). Curriculum is good and updating for applications helped along with projects. Exams are generally once in a month, 1.5 - 2 units for each subject each exam. Lab exams at the very end before CIE marks finalization. Then 2 weeks gap for Lab SEE, then 1 week gap and actual SEE's.

Placement Experience:

KSIT has an average placement rate of 70%-85% depending on the branch . CSE,ISE and ECE branches have higher placements while mechanical and civil have fewer opportunities in IT sector . Average package is about 4-6LPA . KSIT attracts many IT based recruitiers with some core companies for non -IT branches . It also provides pre-placement training, coding boot cams, aptitude tests and soft skills development . Alumni network is moderate, but students need off-campus efforts for high paying jobs
