Likes
- What I liked most about this University is it's security.
- Every type of activities are here in LPU, those ones too, which u haven't heard about.
- The placement percentage. Around 90+% students, who sits in the placement, gets placed every year.
Dislikes
- The crowd. If u have to see the crowd, just stand in the way, i bet, u will be lost.
- They take a lot of CA's . U have to give 3 CA's (test or projects) and 2 main exams (mid term and end term examination).
- The most famous problem, the quality of the food in their mess.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose the engineering course here, firstly, because yeah, my parents wanted me to be an engineer and mainly because the placement of this course here in LPU is wow. As the strength of the students is around 7-8 k, the strength of the faculties is also Good enough, around 3-4k. And every one of them is well qualified. Although we engineers don't need that type of class study, we just study 2-4 nights before the exams and also we score well. Well yeah, it's possible because of the quality of education, faculties are providing us in the class. We just have to see once the terms and the score are in our hands. Per semester is of 14 weeks, and after 7 weeks you have to give the mid-term, which is tbh not that tough. If u are just regular in the class and just revise the course once before the exam, it'll be much easier to score well. And after another 7 weeks, there will be the end term, the final exam, which is a bit tough than the midterm exam.
Placement Experience
Well, my course is for 4 yrs(8 seems). Students can get internships from the 4th sem onwards. Talking about placement, u can get it after 3rd year. Most of the students get placed in their 6th sem only. They get secured. As u know, The highest package this University provided is around 3cr. But it ain't that common every year. But yeah, every year, max get a decent package (12-15 lac) annually, but also every year a lot of students get package up to 50-60lac. But as the strength is this much high, u can say even the actual avg package is around 8 lac. Around 4-5k students sit on the placements, and 90+% students get placed. As this University brings around 500+ companies on campus every year, the chances to get placed are very high.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are not that high compared to other universities for engineering courses. The normal fee is 1,20,000 but yeah, u have to clear the entrance test (LPUNEST) which ain't that hard. U can get up to 50% scholarship, which means just 60k per sem. I got a scholarship of 20%, yeah because I wasn't that study guy. But yeah, still it isn't that much expensive. The ROI(return on investment) is much high here and also to get placed here on campus, the chances are much higher compared to other private universities.
Campus Life
The life on campus, wow. As u can imagine, this University has an area of around 600 acre, every type of activities u can imagine, is present here, like swimming, mall, and a lot . Talking about the library, the biggest Library in the north zone of India is here, At LPU. U can get every type of book here, novels, and books of every course. Coming to the extracurricular activities, u know, there is a separate block, just for these extra activities like dancing (every type of dance traditional, Bhangra, folk and bla bla bla) singing, acting, reading, infact Coding club is also there. If u are interested in any of these activities, LPU is a good platform. Also, this University don't just focus on your study , they suggest, infact force u to go, explore yourself.
Admission
To get into this University, I had to clear the entrance test of this University (LPUNEST), which wasn't that tough. Also to get Cse branch, they don't need any kind of special requirements like you must have this percentage in your 10th or 12th. But if u clear this entrance test with a good score, the university will provide u with a good scholarship. The normal fee for the Btech course is 120000, but most of us are here with scholarships. And the placement record of this University is far better than that most of private universities. So, I opted for this University also because it was not too far from my hometown. Although the only demerit of this University is its crowd. Around 7-8k students are there in only the first year, so the competition level is beyond your imagination.
Other Applied Colleges
Manipal Academy of Higher Education - [MAHE] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
Because it was to far from my hometown, and I had a better option near my hometown in terms of diversity, placement, and college life too
