Dislikes
- Sometimes the food quality is nood good but it has improved alot.
- The strict policy of 75% attendence is sometimes annoying.
- The room cleaning is conducted maybe twice a week.
Course Curriculum Overview
As per my course is concerned, I am in a specialised course named software product engineering. The course was intended to make us software engineers. It was in collaboration with Kalvium. The faculty was very good and regular CA was conducted to test the growth of every one of us. Since I am a guy who is interested in the subjects in the course, I always felt very good and eased to pass exams.
Internships Opportunities
A startup named Sustally, officially started the internship in our course. 5 students were offered an internship and they made a good learning out of it. Fees and Financial Aid
As far as my course is concerned, there was almost a scholarship of 100000 given to every student but the LPUNEST conducted also guaranteed different scholarships for different people based on their performance in the same entrance test. Talking about jobs, people can do part-time jobs based on availability in the different shops on campus. Internship opportunities are very good for the course I am studying because we got to do the internship at the end of year 1.
Campus Life
I am not sure about the Tech fashion annual fest conducted in the college because I have just joined the college recently and I have been busy very much recently but yeah I can still tell about the sports and extracurricular activities on the campus. If we talk about sports and extracurricular activities, those are conducted very frequently and people also tend to participate in the many good prices are also there for people who show extra-curricular skills. In my first year, our class made a project for all the food courts at LPU. foodfolio.github.io - Foodfolio is a project that is meant for menu listing for all the food courts in LPU.
Hostel Facilities
The rooms here in LPU are good. However, you can see insects crawling around in the monsoons if you live in boys' hostel 5 or 6 up till the 4th floor. In the rooms, you can see a cot and an almirah for every one of you. You need to buy a mattress how and a pillow. The registration process for the hostel is very smooth and also there is a practice of letting the hostelers choose the hostel of their choice if they score a good enough CGPA. This helps to increase the competition between people. However, the affordability of hostels is a big question. 113000 for 10 months for which you have your room and your food included. Sounds affordable to me but that changes from person to person.
Admission
The admission process was very smooth so I don't think there is any need for improvement. I liked the arrangements for the freshers for admissions when I came here. There were counters for various things and my work was done very soon.
