Remarks

BMS College of Engineering is heaven. Don't miss a chance if you get one. Placements : We have the best placement percentage when compared to other colleges in India. The placement rate keeps on increasing every and a set of new companies visit us every year. The package offered to us is very good and the average package is around 7 lakhs per annum. Infrastructure : The infrastructure in our college is the best. The campus is huge and students can feel the awesome atmosphere here due to the presence of a lot of green trees all around the campus. We have very well-built buildings which are a visual treat. The parking facilities are usually offered only for faculty members in other colleges but here, even students can park their vehicles. Faculty : The faculty members in the college are very good and calm-minded with a lot of knowledge. They literally inspire students a lot. They treat their students as their own children here which you cannot see in other colleges. The course curriculum is always set to higher standards and definitely better than all VTU college

Entrance Preview

I wrote CET in Karnataka. got scored ranking 72 in mechanical ranking. Coming to choosing college is BMS is the dream college which is situated centre in Bangalore and atmosphere.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

It was nice and very informative. Chosen optional 1. solar energy It is an important source of renewable energy and its technologies are broadly characterized as either passive solar or active solar depending on how they capture and distribute solar energy or convert it into solar power. Active solar techniques include the use of photovoltaic systems, concentrated solar powerand solar water heating to harness the energy. Passive solar techniques include orienting a building to the Sun, selecting materials with favorable thermal mass or light-dispersing properties, and designing spaces that naturally circulate air 2. elemental stress analysis The present study was conducted to determine the effect on the distribution of stress with the use of short-post cores and over restorations composed of different materials. The restorative materials used were namely two different composite resin materials (Valux Plus and Tetric Flow), a polyacid-modified resin material (Dyract AP), and a woven polyethylene fiber combination (Ribbond Fiber + Bonding agent + Tetric Flow). Finite element analysis (FEA) was used to develop a model for the maxillary primary anterior teeth. A masticatory force of 100 N was applied at 148 degrees to the incisal edge of the palatal surface of the crown model. Stress distributions and stress values were compared using von Mises criteria. The tooth model was assumed to be isotropic, homogeneous, elastic, and asymmetrical. It was observed that the highest stress usually occurred in the cervical area of the tooth when Tetric Flow was used as the short-post core and over restoration material. The same maximum stress value was also obtained when Ribbond fiber + Tetric Flow material was used for the short-post core. The results of FEA showed that the mechanical properties and elastic modulus of the restorative material influenced the stresses generated in enamel, dentin, and restoration when short-post core restorations were loaded incisally. Resin-based restorative materials with higher elastic moduli were found to be unsuitable as short-post core materials in endodontically treated maxillary primary anterior teeth

Internships Opportunities

The placements for mech for my batch and the senior batch were good. 100% placement was there (everyone bagged an offer in either tier1 or tier2) for our branch. The highest salary offered was around 6- 8 PA. TVS, WIPRO,TCE, EICHER and TATA etc. Around 10-15%students were offered internships (some along with a full-time offer and some without). The stipend for the internship ranged from Rs. 15K to Rs. 80K.

Placement Experience

4.5

lacements : Our college has got amazing placement offers. It is one of the top colleges in India. Almost 100% placement. Placement training is provided after the completion of the third year. All the activities that you take part in or the internships you do in your holidays, or your active participation in any clubs will influence your resume and hence your placement. Infrastructure : The facilities in BMSCE are mind-blowing. Library, digital lab, management, faculty everything. Separate departments for every course. Very good mentoring facility. 3D printing labs, aerospace labs, robotic labs are there for participation. The best thing is that it is an autonomous college. You require 85% attendance in order to be eligible to write semester end examination. Faculty : The faculty always supports us for everything. The faculty members encourage us to take part in extra curricular activities. There are 200 credits which you should earn by the end of the graduation. Every semester, you need to earn 25 credits. Every subject in that particular semester has a few credits kept for it. If you fail to pass the subjects then you will have something called as fast track semester which is conducted in the months of June-July. You can pay the amount for a maximum of three subjects that you have failed and can clear the subjects by attending the classes again in the holidays during June and July month. So it is better to clear the subjects in prior. Other : There are n number of opportunities and clubs that you can take part in. The interesting thing about this college is that it conducts two fests per year- a technical fest called Phaseshift and a cultural fest called Utsav, for which students come to participate from various parts of India. Utsav is the number 1 fest in Bengaluru.

College Events

4.5

BMS UTSAV BMS PURVA The Institution conducts a Mega event known as “UTSAV”-Every year, as Best Annual Inter-Collegiate Techno-Cultural fest. Cultural team has brought many laurels to the institution by winning many medals at National level, State level & VTU Inter –Collegiate competitions and also Defending Champions of VTU.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Students will have to take a demand draft in favor of “The Principal, BMSCE” payable at Bangalore for the amount specified in their fee structure. At the backside of the draft, students will have to write their name, USN, and semester so that there is no confusion regarding the payment of the semester fees. When releasing the semester fees structure for engineering, the BMS College of Engineering will also clearly specify the last date for the payment of the fees. Students should therefore check the details of the fees structure and note the last date of payment so that they don’t have to pay any fine

Fees and Financial Aid

10 /10 RATINGS INTERNSHIPS OPPORTUNITIES There was nothing offered as such as this is was not applicable for us as under vtu internship was banned at our times so I cannot comment Much on this. Nothing as per my knowledge offer by college for student. But there could have been offered by the government or education trust which us college as medium to give scholarship or loan to the privileged

Campus Life

4

Placements : We have world class placements in our college since past 5-6 years and when compared to top rated colleges in Bangalore, we were unbeatable in terms of placements. A lot of companies visit us like Google, Microsoft, YouTube, Adobe, Dubai Emirates , BEL, and many more. Infrastructure : The infrastructure in our college is all time best. We have high-speed Wi-Fi facilities enabled throughout the campus. The college campus is always clean and they keep sweeping all the time because cleanliness is the main thing in the college. A well-maintained laboratory impressed me the most. Faculty : The faculty members in the college are student-friendly and teach the subjects from the bottom of their heart. They arrange special classes and teach beyond prescribed hours. Talking about the course curriculum, the syllabus set by our college authority will always be of higher standards.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

8/10 RATINGS HOSTEL FACILITIES Very good hostel facilities we have girls hostel and boys hostel separate and there is separate hostel called as international hostel for NRI and outside resident students it is opted hostel Here the hostel facilities and mess food are extremely good compared to other colleges And for the 1 st years and 2nd years students have to share the room with one of them, and for the 3rd-year student can opt for a single room hostel The Quality of mess food is excellent. Every day the menu changes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And there is separate hostels for boys, girls and international studen

Alumni/Alumna

They are strong and well linked. We have one of the all orgnsined alumni and can say has the oldest alumni which keeps meeting regularly and organize events and I am proud to regularly participating in these event COLLEGE EVENTS Utsav is main college event and said to be the oldest college event in Karnatak

Exam Structure

making and organising fest for college and department wise also. EXAM STRUCTURE Semester exams 6 months once as per vtu. semester based curriculum and it goes with 6 months once semester and 3 internals every semester with respective lab exams according to the subject 8 /10 RATINGS COURSE CURRICULUM OVERVIEW Course curriculum was good and as per vtu semester based curriculum and it goes with 6 months once semester and 3 internals every semester with respective lab exams according to the subject

Admission

After writing CET for engineering based on the ranking document verification called from the CET cell (cannot forgot the long waiting queue) and after that through the rank wise called for counselling. Here comes the real process. My heart beat wobbling because of number of seats opt by the other students. Finally got the seat under 2A kannada medium quota

Faculty

4

every one was good. as usual one is best...Youngest professor who helped in all aspects including Project work. one is tough guy who is very strict in all aspects. Infrastructure : Wifi is available for laptops 24x7 on campus. Classrooms are well equipped with projectors and E-learning modules are available. Sports : 1) 2 basketball courts 2) 1 football ground 3) 1 cricket ground 4) 1 tennis court 5) all types of indoor activities. Faculty : Most of them have PhDs. There are informal labs with new techs like SPSS toolkit. There are on-campus internship opportunities. College timing is from 9 to 5. Holistic development is also considered. Other : Disciplined college. Good campus. Good hostel life. Many fests take place eg. UTSAV and PURVA

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is a mix of both Computer Science and AIML which is increasingly relevant in today's world. Second year: Subjects like Mathematics for AIML, Data Structures, Stats for Data Science, Computer Networks, Third year: DBMS, ANN, ML operations Some other elevtives are also available and courses like Universal Human Values, POME, EIPR etc. Honestly, POME, EIPR, UHV should have less course credits and probably MCQ type exams (like IC and Yoga in first year). Curriculum is good and updating for applications helped along with projects. Exams are generally once in a month, 1.5 - 2 units for each subject each exam. Lab exams at the very end before CIE marks finalization. Then 2 weeks gap for Lab SEE, then 1 week gap and actual SEE's.

Placement Experience:

KSIT has an average placement rate of 70%-85% depending on the branch . CSE,ISE and ECE branches have higher placements while mechanical and civil have fewer opportunities in IT sector . Average package is about 4-6LPA . KSIT attracts many IT based recruitiers with some core companies for non -IT branches . It also provides pre-placement training, coding boot cams, aptitude tests and soft skills development . Alumni network is moderate, but students need off-campus efforts for high paying jobs
