What Students Say

Likes

The huge campus is very nice I never get bored
The playgrounds available and I can always play
Lots of food stalls are available and I can eat food

Dislikes

There are a lot of classes and i get mentally tired
The college is kinda far away from hostel
The security is too tight we often do some silly mistakes and get caught

Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

I chose this course due to my keen interest in computer science and especially cyber security. There is around 1 teacher for 9 students. Some faculties are experienced and some are pursuing their Ph.D. There are frequently class tests thrice of every subject and mid-terms and end terms. They are moderately difficult to pass.

Class Size: 72Course Fees: INR 150000 per year

Internships Opportunities

3.5

There are a lot of companies that approach internships. They offer around 20k to 150k per month. They provide projects and completion of them counts as our marks. You need a 77.5 cgpa for an internship or else you won't be allowed.

Placement Experience

3.5

From the 5th semester students are eligible for placements. A lot of companies have visited Lpu such as TCS INFOSYS HCL and many many more. In btech cse highest package is 3.3cr and the average is 5lpa. 70% percent of students get placed. I plan to get a job after my degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are affordable, Since the second year, there is a specialization that costs 10k per semester extra. There are scholarships available via lpunest and there are a lot of options to pay your fees in installments.

Campus Life

4.5

There are a lot of annual and tech fests held. There are plenty of amenities in the classroom such as a charging point and a projector and ac. There is a huge library with educational and non-educational books. There are a lot of societies such as student welfare NCC And NSS.

Admission

The course of Btech CSE is to get 75 percent as a PCM student of cbse or icse board or any state board. The application form was available online and there was a exam called lpunest. It costed 1000rs and getting the best grade in it provided 50% schoralship of semester fees. The exam was held on online mode and a proctor was there to check on the students. For admission, we had to reach the campus and had to pay our respective semester fees and hostel fees.

The university provides good exposure to technical courses, eventrs , clubs, and extracurricular activities.
The campus has good labs, a library, and facilities that support students academic development.

The fees are high and losing a scholarship due to cgpa requirements can create a significant financial burden.
More personalized mentorship and regular career guidance sessions would help student prepare for their future carees.
more internship opportunities would further improve students professional growth.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the CSE curriculum covers relevant subjects and provides a good foundation programming and computer science. It prepares students for futher studies and careers, through more industry-based projects and practical learning would be bemigficial. Exams include MSTs and ESTs, with a manageable difficulty level through regi;ar preparation.

teachers are so experienced and they are so supportive in here.
the placements in this university are great, all the big tech companies do visit while placements and provide jobs to the deserved students.

All the online courses should be reduced.
nothing is there in the university that is to dislike.

Likes

campus life is absolutely banger and it is great to have friends here
crowd is bonkers , except some local peeps , they'd be behaving weird
major events like freshers and orientation , they bring crazzy artists

Dislikes

hectic schedules drain the soul of you .
frequent exams test that are totally unnecesary
attendance is another nuisance , having 75 percent is must

Placement Experience:

placements of 2.8 cr occured but it was only one , most of the placements packages go under 8 lpa and extra fees has to be paid in order to be eligible for placement drives and that too doen't ensure the placement

A TOUR TO CGC LANDRAN

Likes

Events are more frequent here and most of the stars from punjabi industry are called more often for film promotions
No ragging is there infact seniors are friendly and try to help juniors
TPP (training and placement program) is provided that help students to crack placements

Dislikes

Attendance criteria (minimum 75 % is essential to maintain to be eligible to give exams)
Class timings are fixed from 9:15 to 4:35 and you can not enter in between 10 to 12:00 PM as gates are closed for this duration
Strength is rapidly increasing as new courses are introduced which increases competition during placements

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement students need to enroll in TPP(Training and placement program) in order to get eligible for campus placement, Many companies visit our campus for eg Capgemini, LNT, ZSCALER, EDIFECS, AMAZON, PWC, WATCHGUARD TECHNOLOGIES etc overall above 200 offerrs are made to our senior batch with the highest package of 32LPA and average package of around 4.5LPA. more than 60% of students get placed . I am also sitting for campus placement and wish to get placed soon

College Life is Fun, Various activities and events happen in and around college, you got to know about others and crowd is also decent, Mostly Students are from northern regions that is Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand .
Teachers are good and placement coordinators also help students to get good package on campus. a decent package can be bagged by a student if he/she seriously study and obtain a decent CGPA in exam. Make sure you clear all exams till 8th semester.
Infrastructure Is also good, laboratories are fitted with new desktops and campus size is also decent, Tuck shops and various Canteens are available inside the campus. Also Central Library is there inside the campus where students can study in exam t

Dislikes

The curriculum for 1st and 2nd semester is purely based on subjects that you studied in 11th and 12th, the advance versions of those topics are there in 1st and 2nd semester which make it difficult for students to get good grades.
The placement in other branches like Mechanical, electrical is mere, and one can face difficult in getting on campus placement if he/she belongs to these streams. Also Lack of practical knowledge is there in these streams, Theory is more focused.
If one opt for hostels, then the hostel facilities are not as good as it should be , the mess food is pathetic and one can face difficulty if he/she opt for hostel, also campartively hostel fees are also very high, whereas nearby Pg's are cheaper

Placement Experience:

placement is good in our college. Aveage package is 400000, and average package for cse stream is approx 500000. Various companies like alstom, infosys, accenture, TCS, Wipro, amazon, Walmart, JP Morgan chase and co. etc visit campus every year and recruit students. Approx 300+ companies visit campus and above 80% of cse students are placed but In other streams like ECE.EE and ME etc placements are campartively lower and students face difficulty in order to get placed. MY plan is job oriented i also want to get placed on campus and hope so i will get placed in a good company.
