A full review of all good and bad inside LPU

So, first of all, I choose btech because I always wanted to do engineering. Choosing computer science was something because there are a lot of scopes now in this field. Okay, so here there are 72 students in each classroom of btech cse. The teacher is good, except for a few. But in engineering, you can't just rely on teachers. You will have to do all the stuff yourself. The teachers are well qualified with most of them having at least a master's degree. So, now I m in 2nd semester. My first term started in August and finished by end of December. The 2nd term has started in mid-January and will end by the end of May after which u get a 45-50 days break.

LPU has a dedicated internship cell at the university to help students avail of internship opportunities. The internship cell at LPU provides students with a platform to explore the world of internship opportunities available to them. The internship cell works to provide students with access to the best opportunities available, including both paid and unpaid internships. Multinational companies like Google, Intel, Microsoft, L&T, IBM, Pega, Bosch, CISCO, Siemens, Cadence, Texas Instruments, Dell EMC, CompTIA, Vmware IT Academy, PEGA, Automation Anywhere, ASSOCHAM GEN, Informatica, NSE Academy, Cooper Surgical, Aitodesk, WileyNXT, Virtusa, Safeducate, Bioclues Organization, Hughes, Xebia, Transorg, GeeksforGeeks, Tech Mahindra, etc. have setup their Centres of Excellence at LPU, where students get an opportunity to get trained by them from inside the campus.

So, the actual fee for btech computer science is 1lakh 20thousand per semester but you can get a scholarship based on LPUNEST. It is an exam conducted by the University and u get a scholarship based on the marks you secure in that exam. The hostel fees are a bit high with 75000 per year for a four-seater non-ac room which goes even higher for ac rooms or 3,2,1seaters. Scholarships I have mentioned above. For financial assistance, you can take loans from the banks either inside the campus or anywhere else. There are a few part-time jobs as well inside for which u get paid now a notification came from the University side that if you are interested you can apply for a 2-month part-time job for managing the new admission which will start this year.

There are many fests being conducted here. Recently the 'Oneworld' fest was conducted where students in lpu from various parts of India and the world represented their areas. Another tech fest of 3 days 'technocean' was also organized recently for the students where they could attend workshops, participate in coding competitions, and so on. There is a huge central library with 5 floors which has many books inside. The classroom environment is good with strict rules. There are many grounds, where we can have our extracurricular activities. Almost all sorts of games are being played here. There are many clubs of various types being run by the students where u can be a member as well. But the rules inside are very strict and the security guards sometimes can be really annoying.

So, i took admission in btech computer science and engineering. The eligibility was to get more than 60% marks in class 12th and then u have to apply for a exam conducted by the University known as LPUNEST. The marks you secure in the LPUNEST exam gives you the required scholarship. I secured 370-380 out of 400 marks and so I got a 38% scholarship and so i am being charged 74400 per semester instead of 120000. We can register for the exam through Lpu official website which will cost 1000rs. Also the earlier you take admission,the more scholarship they will provide. If u take admission late , the scholarship will decrease.
