College life is chilled Mass bunks are normal
Societies and tech teams for you overall development
Seniors are friendly and their guidance is appreciable

Dislikes

College is located in a rural area in outskirts of Delhi which is a problem for many day scholars
Placements for lower branches are not so good
College is very crowded. Student intake is very large about 2500 students are admitted in BTech programme every year

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because I was interested in physics. The student-faculty ratio is good, and most of the faculty members have Ph.D. degrees. The teaching method is not so good depending upon the teachers, some are very dedicated and some of them try to just complete the syllabus. Term exams occur once in about 2-3 months and the difficulty level is moderate to tough.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 219000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is quite high for any middle-class student about 2.25Lakhs/every year (not included mess ,hostel and others expenses)and increases every year. For my batch of 2025 total fees is 8.90L.And education loan facility is available Also you can for fee concession and e district scholarship (MCM)

Campus Life

Engifest the annual cultural fest of DTU(conducted in Feb/March every year) is one of the best college fest in North India which has surpassed many top IITs in last few years. Invictus is the annual tech fest DTU conducted in Feb.Most of the time you can find books and journals you want. Newly made Classrooms are quite good but departmental classrooms are not so well . every sports facilities are available except swimming pool and many sporting events are conducted inter college and inter departmental.Free resources is one such website run by students for providing notes ,pyqs.

Admission

Firstly you have to pass 12th with PCM/PCB with minimum aggregate marks of 75%(not sure if this criterion is still there). Then you have to pass the entrance exam (Jee mains), according to cut off the rank of your category you get a seat in colleges(DTU, NSIT, IGDTUW, IIIT DELHI, DSEU)through JAC Delhi counseling.

Good college for leaning and enjoy campus life.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

This college has a great placement. 80% of students do place every year. If you got no placement then they will give you the opportunity to start the startup. starting the 4th year you get the placement and opportunities. this college visits many companies like Amazon HCL Flipkart etc. this college's highest package is 26 LPA and the average package is 10.5 LPA. 80% of students get placed. my plan is after taking the degree I will start my startup.

A NICE LITTLE INFO ON MY FAV. DTU

I have applied to GGSIPU , AKTU and other state colleges , I got admission in all of them but DTU was better than them So i chose it I also managed to crack bits goa but the fees was legit too high for me to afford I get rejected from lower NITS because of my rank. Rank is the only deciding factor in getting into college, nothing else college admission was just like school admission. The only difference was the huge pile of documents. You have to submit so many papers, category documents, residence documents To be eligible, you need to score at least 60% in your Class 12th boards for all category students You also have to sit for the JEE exam, and your admission depends entirely on your JEE rank...Read More
