Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is designed to give you industry experience and equip you with the traditional and model tools and techniques of the Business world. The MBA HR course is one of the best HR courses in India. The faculty is highly qualified, they have industry networks as well as exposure to the latest happenings of the business world.

Internships Opportunities

Flipkart, Tata Steel, DeShaw, Reliance, Samsung, Asian Paints, Hindalco, Vedanta, ICICI Bank, and HDFC Bank were among the many of the major recruiting companies that came for summer as well as final placements.

Placement Experience

The placements are excellent. All major big branded companies come to the campus for summer internships as well as for final placements. The average CTC is also increasing every year. 100 percent of the students are placed every year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The overall fee for a two-year program is 20 lac something and you can easily avail of a loan for the fee. The college has tie-ups with many banks, which will easily sanction your student loans. The scholarship details are mentioned on IIM Ranchi's admission portal.

Campus Life

Life at IIM Ranchi is amazing. There are a lot number of competitions and fests being conducted throughout the year by different student bodies and interest groups. Classrooms are fully air-conditioned with the latest tech and internet.

Hostel Facilities

Single rooms are provided in hostels. There is a mess that serves high-quality food for everyone. The college also have a night canteen for the hostel students. You also have access to the Nescafe in day as well as in night.

Hostel Fee: INR 20000 per year

Admission

Eligibility: You have to appear for the CAT examination and you should be a graduate or in the final year of your graduation You will find the application on the common admission portal of the CAP. You will get a shortlisted based on your CAT score and then you will have an interview and then the final admission list is released.

Interview Experience

Yes, you will have an online interview which will be taken by the faculty professors. It will be a basic interview, with details about your graduation subject and your personal details such as why your MBA and your introduction will be asked.

Likes

Placements are quite good peers are usually from ranchi
Professors are quite good. They have dept knowledge ot the subjects which they are teaching
Pressure is quite low if you compare it with other b schools

Dislikes

Course curriculum can be made more pratical as it is quite theoretical in nature
Pratical exposure can be improved like more guest lectures and seminars

Placement Experience:

After 4th semester students get eligible for placements. I guess around more than 50+ companies visit the campus. The highest package is always around 20+ lakhs and on average you can consider 12 lakhs while the lowest is 8 lakhs. The percentage of students getting placed can be said around 95%. My plan is to get a good corporate job and work there as such no fancy plans.

Life at XLRI

Likes

Great campus life. Everyone gets single rooms, so theres privacy and flexibility to fo things at your own pace.
Engagement activities in terms of fests, committees on campus. Everyone gets a chance to participate in varius events catering to their likes and dislikes.
The professors really lean into technologically advanced teaching resources abd methods usings google classrooms and teams classrooms. This streamlined the deadlines, required assignments and upcoming quizzes

Dislikes

A certain lack of transparency regarding the placements policies and process.
The hunger for more students and contant construction on campus. All free and green spaces are used for more rooms constructed which just deteriorates the quality of life there.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The HR course was quite comprehensive. Lots of subjects were dedicated to different functionalities of HR. Lots of focus on Law, and employee benefits, worker rights and employer responsibility. The course boasts of some of the stalwarts of the industry teaching different courses such as the Professor who teaches compensation is responsible for designing the compensation structure over at HUL. It's very comprehensive, and periodically reviewed to remain relevant to the changing times

The professor's are amazing and always ready to help.
The infrastructure is very beautiful and charming.
The course curriculum is up to date so it helps in several areas.

Dislikes

For me i think IMS is best and yes of course you should surely enroll here.

Placement Experience:

There are many companies that visit IMS and pick students by taking exams and interviews. Some of them include Accenture, Capgemini, tcs, etc. These multinational companies visit and you can take your chance by qualifying exam and interview. In short, there is full placement in IMS and you will surely be settled after your course.

Admission:

The admission was done on the basis of the CAT entrance exam. I applied for the admission online and after my application was shortlisted, I took the written test conducted by the college which was followed by the group discussion and personal interview.

A review on my college

Remarks:

The infrastructure of our college is very good. The campus life was great too, we have a good library updated to a digital library, labs, counseling center, ATM, etc. The film society used to run film shows at the weekend which was awesome.

Remarks:

The college and campus were built on strong fundamentals that each and every student is important even though they are passed out they would still remain a member of the institute. The admission process is nice and transparent. I don't see any scope of improvement.
