Likes

The only thing I like here is that the fees of college is very nominal
Some students are good they form social groups.
Behaviour of some faculty members is good towards students.

Dislikes

Practical labs are very old, all the equipments are eaten by rust and dust.
Books are not available in Library no matter which time you go.
No extra curricular activities are organised by college faculty members.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I want to do higher studies in Zoology. The faculty is good enough. The teaching method of every teacher is up to mark. Two sets of exams are conducted per term or semester, which are not hard to pass if you study.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 8200 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee of the college is very nominal which is around 8k per year. Which is very affordable as you are studying in one of the central universities of India. Student gets caste-based and government scholarships. There is a cons. i.e. there are no placements from this college.

Campus Life

The annual fest is conducted every year but not on our campus there is another campus of this college where the annual function is organized per year. Tech fests are organized by students themselves, no faculty member shows any interest in conducting any fest in college. Sports and extracurricular activities are organized in college. Some social groups are organized by students like the English club, Photography club, etc.

Admission

All the students opting for biology in 12th standard and eligible for this course. After 12th the student has to clear CUET entrance exam which is conducted all over India. Application forms can be found on NTA (National Testing Agency) website. Reservation is vailed for lower caste people. The admission process is good.

My honest review of MBPG College

Likes

Being a government college the fees are very low and student friendly most teachers are knowledgeable supportive and clear in explanation focus on studies exam and all over all discipline
Open ground greenery and enough space to relax between classes decent collection of academic books and difference material
Easy to reach from different part of Haldwani lesson unnecessary pressure more focus on its education

Dislikes

Infrastructure is old type som building needs to get repair
Campus placement opportunity are very few from classroom slabs and building need renovation
Not many model amenties compared to private colleges office works can be slow

The curriculum follows kumaun University guidelines ensure standardization and recognition core subjects are well structured and concept curriculum should a include more practical exposure projects work and field work examination are conducted semester wise and generally twice year internal assessments include test assignments and practicals during the semester

Likes

Social life is good with feat happening around in college.
Wifi is provided in our building and the hostel.
Infrastructure of our new hostel and our labs is good

Dislikes

Teachers are qualified but the quality education is not good
Too much restriction on girls but boys are free to roam at night.
Mess food is just acceptable not that good.

Placement Experience:

For campus placement students need to be atleast in last or second last semester of the course. But for internship it's fine even if student is in 1st or 2nd yr. But most of teh students here decided to pursue master from here only and I still don't know have exact idea hown many students got placed in th companies.

Likes

They prioritize education and teaching more
Social interaction with others in college is appreciable
Lab is fully equipped for experiments or practicals

Dislikes

Campus of our college is not too good and small
Absence of ac in library and other needed areas
Quality of infrastructure of classes is little bit poor

Placement Experience:

When one enters the final semester they become eligible for campus placement and many companies offers and discusses with them. Companies such as IGL, Vib care pharma, AVANTOR and many others visits every year with offers.

I like the hostel security and there are no ragging
Good teachers and friendly. Helping us lot.
Good infrastructure and better environment..

Dislikes

Hostel food is not so good. Small hostel room

Placement Experience:

From 7 semester student are eligible for placement. There are various plywood industries and forest base non Timber industries and cricket industries. The highest average package is like 4.5 lakh per year.

Likes

I liked mostly the environment of my college. College. was situated in hills . So the peace , the environment, weather, education everything was perfect. The rooms , library, the field of our college
The education system of our college was good .I liked the most the education system every faculty was good and take responsibility of each students.the teaching was of faculty was superb . Every we understand easily. The also teach us on ppt .
Department of science,arts each department was available and a big auditorium for function parties was there. Each subject lab also there . lab instruments lso available

Dislikes

One thing was I disliked was due to cold weather or snowfall dec to february college is closed.
I disliked the book issue system it takes maximum time to get a book from my college.
The period was too long . Not only 1 hour it almost 2 hour classes.

I chooses the best course. Because my faculty was good I can ask him freely if I have any doubt. And it increases my interest in my subject. And the experiment we do make us progressive for our future. Yes but one thing I will say the duration of time period will be increase

Aspects that i like the most is academic program, faculty expertise, and support and infrastructure and the aspects i don't like is outdated and inappropriate facilities

Limited opportunity for socialization and campus involvement leads to isolation
Insufficient support for people with disabilities
Exclusively can create an unwelcoming environment for some students

I've applied for Btech course in Benaras Hindu University. But before the counselling result declared I've already taken admission in Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, Uttrakhand. I 've choosen this university because low BTech course fee and also one more reason is weather and environment of the state uttrakhand. I haven't got rejection from other college. Admission process here is so simple. Only the thing is you have to clear the cutoff marks in CUET exam.
