Likes

Hostel life is one of the best. You'll make some amazing life long friends here and you're gonna miss it for sure after your graduation
Various clubs for extra curricular activities is also one of the best thing here. It becomes your family and you'll really enjoy being a part of them
Campus is really very big so you have a lot of place to hang around and chill with friends

Dislikes

Since campus is very big so sometimes it become really very hard to get from one place to another
Since this is a private university, so the crowd is not that great
Mess food is definitely not good. Sometimes it becomes really very hard to enter mess.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose computer science over other branches because LPU has a great placement record for the specific branch. The no. of companies visiting the campus for the CS branch is also good. The faculty is good. Most of them are Ph.D. holders and they are really good at what they are teaching. The student-to-faculty ratio is average like any other private engineering college which is around 40:1 which is good. Exams are not that tough, since your professor are gonna check your papers so you can score easily.

Internships Opportunities

Companies that offer internships are Microsoft, Amazon Ola, Uber, and many others and they offer roles like Software DEVELOPERS, Web Developers, Android Developers and etc. Getting an internship is a little tough here cause the companies require a good skill set and .you have to learn on your own. Don't rely on professors for learning new skills.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure depends on how well you score in the entrance exam. I scored 250 marks in LPUNEST so I was offered a 30,000 rupees scholarship per semester. You can either pay your fees in one go or you can also pay in installments. college is flexible and supportive when it comes to fee payment.

Campus Life

The followings are the fest and events that are organized in our college, One India - It is a national-level competition in which students from various colleges come. One World - It is a national-level competition in which contestants from all around the world participate. Youth Vibe - Students set up stalls, and activities like dance, singing, and bands everything happens in this one. LPU has one of the best libraries you can easily find any journal or books here. The book issuing process is also very smooth since they have an RFID system. Classrooms are just like other engineering colleges, they are equipped with projectors and classrooms are airy. The college promotes extracurricular activities a lot. There are several clubs and societies for various activities like Music, Dance, Painting, and photography. You can be a part of them and enjoy your college life. Similar is the case with sports. You can join the college team and go for various national, inter-college competitions.

Admission

I took the LPUNEST Test and scored 252 marks, so I was lying under category 2 which helped me to get a 30,000 rupees scholarship per semester. So my semester fee is around 95000 rupees. The admission process was easy, it will hardly take one day. You can just go to the reception and they'll guide you for everything.

Likes

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

Inside NITJ- Beyond the Brochure

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts
Skilled professional educators and tutors

Dislikes

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements and tata or Infosys companies visited and about 60 to 70 percent students were placed and my plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies doing mtech from iit

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late
Great mentors and very helpful teachers who are always willing to help

Dislikes

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
