Course Curriculum Overview

2

I chose CSE bcoz that is the course I availed through my 12th cutoff in 2010 and is also around my locality. My class had 51 students in total. Faculties are very strict at that time. According to their communication level, I would they were very basic. Some faculties blindly vomit whatever they had in the projector. Only 2 or 3 I think only got the talent to teach out of the box. Faculties are very less than student in ratio wise. They will conduct periodic tests every month that's why felt stressed. I would pass all my tests with a high score but the depression level is high bcoz of the exam. For me, it's difficult to face periodic tests as it was repetitive every month.

Fees and Financial Aid

As I availed this college through government quota the fee structure is according to the Anna University propaganda. They have a scholarship for the percentage of cutoff I had in 12th. Luckily I got a scholarship as I scored above 80% in the cut-off. Beyond that, I didn't get any financial assistance from them. Regarding campus jobs, as I said earlier they had conducted only a few campus jobs within their management that too not MNCs but they linked us to vit college where MNCs conducted interviews. Only 4 out of 50 are placed at that time.

Campus Life

2

They conducted once a year annual day. They conducted a symposium for each department. They have a library where we can avail books for days and beyond that they'll charge for extra days. Regarding amenities, Classroom had a projector, CCTV, boards, and all. They had labs. They have big grounds for sports but accessing sports equipment was less and only a few activities were conducted. I doubt they had any social groups, clubs, or websites run by students.

Admission

I cleared my 12th hsc exam with a 176 cut-off out of 200. I applied for Anna university where I can choose 1 college out of many affiliated colleges according to my cut off.. So I had to choose Kingston Engineering College as it was the only college near my locality. I chose CSE as I am eligible for this acc. to my cut-off. I availed of a scholarship as my cutoff is above 80% where 20,000 is deducted. I didn't place through as their placement opportunities are very less that time only 4 out of my class are placed which is very less comparatively. The improvement they need is they really treat their student very strictly. I don't enjoy my college days there as it was really strict in everything.

The specific aspect which is great future on IT Field of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the course. The curriculum prepared me to solve tough real-world logical aptitude test and coding test. The course curriculum is only based on the theory in several areas. My suggestion is to improve that too in practical manner for better real-world understanding. The frequency and the timing of my exams along with my perspective on the difficulty level is 2hrs.
