College experience that changed my life

There is no bad comments for the institute in my mind as this institute changed my life for better.

MATI opted for the institute because of the positive reviews from some friends who were part of this institute earlier. The 100% placement record also made me to choose the college. The admission process included GD/PI

The course structure is very good as it has full focus on the corporate environment. The course structure include GD sessions, Presentations, classroom sessions, Auditorium sessions, Guest faculty, Faculties from the corporate world so that we develop a great understanding of what the organizations want.

Yes our college provides internship opportunities to the students by inviting companies for recruitment process. I did my internship from Aditya birla group and I was selected by the organisation from the recruitement process they conducted in our college.

The placement track of IMS is 100% placement from many a years. The opportunity given by the institute is very fare and open without any partiality. I got placed in Bajaj Finserv through campus placement itself and the college provided proper support and training to us to grab these opportunities.

The main event that our college organizes is Melange which is an intercollege event which comprosises of dance, fashion show, quiz, singing competitions. College has main clubs such as marketing club, finance club, operations club etc which keep on organizing events in the college.

The fee structure is a little on the expensive side. The overall fee for the two year course is 7 lakh which is not that feasible for lower middle class families. But yes the environment provided to the students justifies the fee taken from the student.

College provides scholarship on the basis of marks secured in graduation, marks scored in the entrance exams like MAT or CAT. It also provides extra scholarship to the students scoring good TGPA in the first trimester of the 2 years course.

The gender ratio is an issue in almost every institute of India. Though in IMS the gender issue is not that bad. The ratio is in favour of boys by 3:1 The extracurricular activities and opportunities provided by the institute is also good and very exciting.

The hostel facility is good. There is no option for single rooms though but still the rooms are spacious for the double sharing basis. The food quality of the mess and the canteen is good. The environment in the mess is clean and tidy. Hostel rooms are cleaned everyday and the wardens also keep a check on the cleanliness

The alumini base of IMS is very strong and the institute takes steps to keep the alumini connected by conducting alumini meets not only in the institute but also across many metros. It also keeps inviting the alumini to institute for interacting with the current batch.

The exam structure of the institute is strict but not hectic. You have to maintain minimum 80% attendance all the time to be able to sit in the exams. The year is divided in three trimesters where every student gets the opportunity to score marks through the process of presentations, GD, projects and theory papers.

The process started with the invitation call for GD/PI which was done after the shortlisting done on the basis of the MAT score. I went through the GD/PI process and then i went throught the director session. After which the shortlisted students were sent a mail of being selected in the institute.

The faculty base of IMS is the strongest pillar in the rankings where IMS is today. The experienced and trained faculty base with over 80% faculty members being PH.D's give students the confidence in asking questions. The faculty members help students in professional, student as well as personal life.
