Remarks

The crowd is poor. It has a really cheap crowd. Our juniors have been better than our batch. But it's always just a selected few. With a lot of unnecessary importance given to academics, that turns out to be a waste because the quality of teaching is bad. We're not to be seen loitering in the campus, or you won't hear the end of it. Attendance is taken very seriously, but fortunately, our branch was a little chill when compared to the others. The canteen is bad and you don't really get good food anywhere in a 1 km radius. The memories with a bunch of people you get along with, is the only good remark.

Entrance Preview

The entrance exam was CET. With a rank crossing 20k, the course I wanted was only available here. No interview. Was being pushed towards engineering, so chose passion along with it. Thus, biotechnology.

Course Curriculum Overview

1

The course is very interesting. It covers all aspects of biology and creates immense curiosity. But the faculty kill it. No encouragement. Very unsupportive. No importance towards practical learning. The choice of electives are very limited and are only oriented towards marks. One elective is chosen for the entire class.

Internships Opportunities

No internships were provided. For some of my friends who did apply outside, they needed a few days off to complete the internship which was denied. Encouragement as I earlier said, 0.

Placement Experience

0.5

All the companies which we got were mostly tech support. Core companies weren't given importance and when asked, claim to get 50 of them. Many companies have black marked our college. Apart from the Navy, Amazon, saint gobin and byjus, nothing was worth mentioning. The packages ranged from 1-3.5 lakhs per annum.

College Events

0.5

Technical events are given a lot of importance. Cultural are done just for the heck of it. A lot of money gets gulped in by the faculty responsible and only a few lecturers give it their all into this. It's intra collegiate and the principal expects us to attend classes even on the fest days. They spend around 4 lakhs for the entire fest. The organization always goes wrong and the crowd is very poor. It takes once a year, with great difficulty.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I spent around 2.5 lakhs for the entire course. But the college gulps down most of it in the names of various facilities which they claim to provide, for example,WiFi, but don't. It straight away goes to the pockets.

Fees and Financial Aid

A few of my friends have gained scholarships around 11 thousand every year. It isn't academically rated.

Campus Life

0.5

Extra curriculars is frowned upon. They don't let us attend other college fests. We have to at our own risk. No attendance, no transportation, no refund for the competitions attended. They say that they will reimburse you, but they don't. If you have really low attendance and can't risk it, you've to take permission a week before the actual date. A lot of nagging and waiting around, they grant you attendance. Only.

Hostel Facilities

0.5

The hostels as far as I've heard is really bad. They have found various creepy crawly things in the food over the years. They also have water issues. They stay 4 in a room, with one attached bathroom.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni interaction took place one year and that was it. We've to find our own network outside college or the alumni try really hard to get some time to talk to the students and still are ignored.

Exam Structure

This only aspect was chill. 3 internals where you can attend only 2 if you have the average. One lab internal where Viva marks are awarded on the basis of partiality. And in the end, one external and you're done with the semester.

Faculty

0.5

The faculty is qualified but their teaching is inadequate. With the standard of teaching being very low, a few of the teachers only make the Mark but are put down by the senior lecturers. They get involved in crazy politics with fellow teachers and drag the students who are close to them as well, making their life a living hell.

Excellent placement training and reputed companies visit the campus. I had received offers from three companies which reflects the quality of opportunities available. Placement is one of the college's biggest strength. Student with no backlog and good academic records will get easily placed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The aspects like: we had 2 internal exams in the semester and after completing these internal exams roughly at the 5th month we had practical exam + end semester exams, these exams would be mainly theory based inclusing some conceptual based questions & based on our understanding only, we can able to write the answers. One thing, I would suggest was we shall give more weightage to the practical based learning, that too during our days we were just the beginning of AI & Iot era was effectively going on, if we had some advanced eductaion covering these aspects we would have got the opportunity to shine more in our carrers. As a student, we faced slight diffuclities and challenges matching the real-life happenings with the acdemics, that would be one of the shortcoming I can say.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the curriculum is well planned, balanced and easy to follow. We start with the basics and along with theory there's a good amount of coding practice, assignments, and hands on learning. I like that the course isn't just about passing exams, it also focuses on building skills that will be useful later for internships and placements. So far it feels relevant, practical and not overwhelming for someone who's just starting out.
