The course structure consists of almost 6 subjects per semester along with labs. The curriculum is maintained by our college and there are many changes done primarily to learn the new technologies in the market. Although CBIT prides itself on hundred percent placements for the year 2016, most of them were software and IT companies with students from other branches depending on the same. While the 2017 batch's overall results aren't out yet, most of them got placed in reputed companies in and out of Hyderabad. The salary range lies between 3-10 lakhs per annum with the average being 5 lakhs per annum. Although Arcesium offered 15 lakhs, it was the first time the company visited the campus and is expected to visit again. Other reputed companies include Microsoft, Oracle, Deloitte, JP Morgan Chase, Accenture, Wipro, Amazon, Samsung, ITC, UBER amongst the total 72 companies

Faculty

4

Apart from communication skills, the faculty team is qualified and knowledgeable with most of them up to date about the developments and requirements in the continuously evolving nature of technology and are easily approachable. The teaching methods range from traditional classroom teaching and e-learning to seminars and workshops including hands-on experience. They encourage students to set up clubs like google club, information security club, etc in order to incorporate studies apart from the curriculum and organize tech fests regarding the same. The faculty to student ratio is 1:20 with equal importance given to every student. Industry drives are pretty useful from what I heard from my seniors. The only disadvantage is that the curriculum has not changed with few topics that have become obsolete with advent of new fields and topics to explore. Mini-projects are an advantage for 2nd and 3rd year students as they have to make a project using a language or topic that isn't included in the curriculum and the faculty members are always present to guide you through the same.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
