Remarks
The college experience is quite nice. Pro and cons are everywhere, so its better to enjoy with what you get. But if you are serious for placements and all then it is not the place to go.
Entrance Preview
The entrance they set as the parameter for admission is CUSAT. Based on the score there is a counselling session, there is no interview process. This college is nearby my home, that is the reason i chose this college.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course was quite good, there are always pros and cons. The focus on practical learning was less as per my expectation. Obviously when we go for a masters course, all we want is more focus on practical learning. There were some initiatives for B.Tech students but not for MCA. There are no elective branches for MCA.
Internships Opportunities
The college does not provide any sort of internship. But the student has to go outside and do internship and show the internship certificate at the college. There is no as such stipend, in fact the student has to pay for the internships.
Placement Experience
No placements for MCA students. There were placement cell and drives outside the college and college supports the students to take them to the place where the off campus drive is. But inside the college there is none.
College Events
There are some events like grabit, QL, Sahastra etc.,
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees was around 50000 per year. And it is quite affordable i guess.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are many scholarships for CAT scores, OAC, Muslims etc.
Exam Structure
There are many and frequency exams that makes the student really tired. There are 3 mid-semester exam and meanwhile many class tests take place. An internal and external assessment of practical subjects and final exam.
Faculty
There are guest lecturers more than permanent staff. The permanent teachers are experienced but they are not that interactive in class. The standard of teaching is not bad, some teachers use to teach in Malayalam while some teach completely in English.
