Course Curriculum Overview

My course was BA in computer science my course was really focused on practical learning as it contains a lot of programs. A lot of research initiativies were taken up by my Institute. Some of the research activities are red hacking etc

Internships Opportunities

Internships are provided by the college. I had attended 1 internship on hacking skills and security management. It was a very good experience given to me by this internship. I was charged a fee of rupees 2000 for this internship

Placement Experience

Im still in second year don't know much about placement scenario but as I heard from a senior placements are pretty okay Ok. Around 60% of the students get placed every year. Some of the companies that come at Tech Mahindra Flipkart Amazon Coffee Day etc .

Many events are conducted in a college like events sports events technical events. Christu Jayanthi festival is conducted in a very grand way every year. Many workshops are conducted to help the students to build there skill abilities

My fees was 40000 for 1 academic year. My fees was a very good affordable fees for me.

There are no any kind of scholarship provided for my college. Are colleges always helping students to get loans from from banks providing the details accordingly on time.

Many extra curricular activities are conducted like debating Christmas painting competitions etc During all the cultural events college as provided a full hand support.

I am a day scholar I don't stay in hostel hostels are in very good condition good security systems cctv cameras good food good toilets friendly securities.

I haven't heard much about any kind of alumni network present in our college.

Exam Structure

Exams are conducted twice in a month exams has never made me tired it is always chill in atmosphere. The exam evaluations had done in a bit strict manner.

Faculty

For my faculties are very friendly always ready to support whenever I needed help almost all the teachers are Msc qualified. They have a plenty of teaching experience in this field

Likes

The campus was too good in its environment.
The exposure was too good with good library facilities.
We can socialise with Pan Indian exposure

Dislikes

Hostel facilities was not well maintained
Hostel food was not that much good sometimes
College was situated in a rural place, it was so hard to travel.

A honest Review of KJC

Likes

Well maintained Campus with almost 4 blocks and a lot of canteens
knowledgeable faculty and a lot of interesting and practical subjects
A lot of fests and programs almost every day

Placement Experience:

We have a separate placement cell, and everyone interested can join in for the same. We have students placed in target, Deloitte, Accenture and other companies, both domestic and international. Students in the final year can be eligible for the campus placements.

The quality of teaching for my course - BA Economics (Hons) is exceptional. The professors give quality time with each student to ensure concepts are clear and go beyond the surface level teaching of all concepts.
Every student gets their own mentor, who is a professor within the University who will help you guide yourself through everything, ranging from academic difficulties to personal grievances. There are regular sessions scheduled with these mentors..
There is plenty of freedom in the university. Unlike other university's there is no strict dress code or unreasonable rules for the students to follow. The campus allows each indivitual to be true to themselves.

Dislikes

The campus is very far from the city, making it difficult to have any sort of weekend get aways to the city tiresome. There are very few places around the campus that will let you experience city life.
The university does not encourage competitive spirit festivals like youth festivals apart from sports. Hence narrowing down the avenues where students can get certificates for extra curriculars to add on to your CVs
Academic rigor can get too overwhelming sometimes and one may not get time to study for other parallel exams for masters like GMAT, CAT, GRE etc. Finding time for extra curriculars may also get difficult.

Placement Experience:

The university does have a placement team which faculy and student led. Studnets become eligible for placements towards the end of their fourth year - last semeter. Approximately 100-150 NGO's come to campus for recruiting. The university does not promote private firms for placement but students can apply indivitually. The average pay is 20 Lakh per year. Many students after undergraduation opt for higher studies, so is my plan. But most of the master's students opt for placement and 98% - 99% get placed into NGO in top positions. I plan to pursure a masters degree after my undergraduation, preferably in economics.

Insight into KJC by a real life student

Likes

The campus is a plus. It's really clean and green. They really take care of the cleanliness of the Campus. As for the girls to boys ratio, in my class there are more girls than boys. Idk much about college overall.
I like my professors a lot. But it's all about luck. I got nice ones.
We have LMS in college. So we are provided with notes and syllabus online that we can use anytime we want.

Dislikes

The administrative office is very annoying sometimes. Just to answer one question they send the students to different offices and waste our time.
I don't understand the dress code system. I mean it's good but girls are not allowed to wear long skirt. I'm not talking about short clothes. But even long skirts are not allowed.
I would say I dislike the locality sometimes. It's not that developed so there's always something kind of construction going on which causes a lot of pollution and breathing problem specially for me with breathing issues.

Course Curriculum Overview:

We get to learn many things not because of just the syllabus and courses but also because of the national and international conferences that are held in our college. People from other colleges come in and share their knowledge with us. This experience is really good for us students. We even have expert lectures from our alumnis who give us advice on what all is required in the world outside college to earn. All these are really helpful.

Insight into KJC by a real life student

I applied to KIIT, Symbiosis, Saint Xavier's and I got accepted in most of them. But I ended up choosing KJC because of Bengaluru. I heard so many good things about the weather here and how the place is so I wanted to come here. I did not apply in Christ because I heard that the routine is too hectic. KJC is not like that. The routine is manageable. We have classes from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. But we either have morning classes or afternoon classes. Not the whole day.
