The best thing happened in my life.

In the first year, the course is the same for all courses(BTech, Btech, Mtech(yr), MSc(5yr)). They teach the basic of engineering. There are two semesters in a year. In the first semester, they teach basic electronics engineering, environmental engineering, Mathematics 1, Physics 1, Commutative English, Biology, Chemistry Laboratory, and Engineering Drawing. In the second semester, we had basic electrical engineering, Physics 2, Mathematics 2, Chemistry 2, Engineering Mechanics, Workshop, Physics Laboratory, and Programming Laboratory. The course this semester is really interesting. The faculty members are average at all. Some teach well and some just complete their syllabus. They all did their Ph.D. from IITs. There are two exams in each semester. One is mid sem and the other is end sem. The mid sem consists of half of the syllabus and it contains 30 marks out of 100. The end sem consists of 50 marks. The rest 20 marks are your internal. And it's on the teacher's hand.

Companies like Google Summer of Code, Microsoft, Bajaj, and many others. Most companies come here for CSE and even students. Although Microsoft offers all students but non Cse students do not get it easily. They have to work for what companies ask for. The projects depend from company to company.

The placements in our college are outstanding. The students become eligible after 6th semester to sit in placements. Some get pre-placement offers during their internship. Many companies visit our campus like, Google, Microsoft, Flipkart, Amazon, Oracle, PSUs, and many others. The number of offers was 1240 last year. The highest package for 83.4 lpa and the average was 12.54 lpa. About 95% of students get a place on campus. Rest go for higher study or off-campus placement. My plan after getting my degree is to work in a software company and may be doing a higher study after working for a few years.

The fee structure is different for different courses. For BTech, the total fee is 820000. If a student's family income is less than 1 lakh, then the tuition fee of 62500 will be waived. If a student's family income is between 1 to 5 lakhs, the Tuition fee is one-third of the Tuition fee. The fee for MSc integrated is 2.33 Lakhs. The fee for NITs and IITs remains nearly the same for almost all years. There are various scholarships available. Due to a premier institute, some special scholarships are also offered. Scholarships depend on different criteria. One has to check it. MTech and Ph.D. students get campus stipends.

The campus life you will get here will be unforgettable. The campus is huge and is very beautiful. It is one of the most beautiful campuses in India. The infrastructure is awesome. There are many fests in our college. Innovation(November ) and NitrUTSAV(Jan) are two fests that are organized on a big scale. There is a library ( Biju Patnaik central library). There are a lot of books there.

The first-year male students get VS hall of residence. Each room is two-seaters. The room has one lan connection. The messy food is kind of okay. Sometimes they do not give more attention to the quality of food. The menu for the VS hall is fixed for a week. And it gets after the request of students. The hostel gets allotted after your counseling. You don't need a specific process to get it. For room or pg, there are places outside the campus, which is close to campus. For that, you have to talk to the chief warden. It has a process.

One has to give JEE(Main) exam to opt for a Btech course, Btech 5 years course, and MSc Integrated 5 years course. NTA conducts JEE(Main) exams in two sessions. The first session is usually conducted in January and the second one is in April. NTA releases notifications on its official website regarding JEE Main exam. One can do registration on jeemain.nta.nic.in.
