What Students Say

Likes

The most thing I personally liked aboutbthe campus is greenary

Dislikes

The things I disliked is the strength in the cse department is much than expected

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I choose this course because of my interest. Faculties and teachers of my course are quite good and skilled. The Student ratio is a bit large in this course. Qualifying the university exams was not tough since contains both subjective and objective questions.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 240000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Basically, Internships are given in the 3rd year with a stipend depending upon the skills and knowledge you had and gained in the college. Different Projects are given to students in order to increase their logical and analytical skills.

Placement Experience

3.5

Talking about campus placements- the campus placements is good. People in the 5th or 6th semester are eligible for placements in companies. Also, many students get good opportunities with the internship with a good stipend. several companies such as Infosys Accenture and many more visit the campus.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure if this college is basically 1.2 lakhs per semester, but the fees can be reduced by the scholarship provided by the university after giving the LPUNEST. The scholarships come under 3 categories depending on the score you have achieved.

Campus Life

Life at LPU is much better and good as compared to other collage. Although the campus is quite large but still covered with trees and plants. The campus also contains many cafes and shops. There is also a mall inside the campus.

Admission

FOR Admission to LPU you need to Qualify LPUNEST, which is not so tough to crack anyone with good basic of 10th, and 12th can clear it. On the basis of the LPUNEST score students are provided a scholarship category.

More personalized mentorship and regular career guidance sessions would help student prepare for their future carees.
more internship opportunities would further improve students professional growth.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the CSE curriculum covers relevant subjects and provides a good foundation programming and computer science. It prepares students for futher studies and careers, through more industry-based projects and practical learning would be bemigficial. Exams include MSTs and ESTs, with a manageable difficulty level through regi;ar preparation.

Dislikes

hectic schedules drain the soul of you .
frequent exams test that are totally unnecesary
attendance is another nuisance , having 75 percent is must

A TOUR TO CGC LANDRAN

Likes

Events are more frequent here and most of the stars from punjabi industry are called more often for film promotions
No ragging is there infact seniors are friendly and try to help juniors
TPP (training and placement program) is provided that help students to crack placements

Dislikes

Attendance criteria (minimum 75 % is essential to maintain to be eligible to give exams)
Class timings are fixed from 9:15 to 4:35 and you can not enter in between 10 to 12:00 PM as gates are closed for this duration
Strength is rapidly increasing as new courses are introduced which increases competition during placements

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement students need to enroll in TPP(Training and placement program) in order to get eligible for campus placement, Many companies visit our campus for eg Capgemini, LNT, ZSCALER, EDIFECS, AMAZON, PWC, WATCHGUARD TECHNOLOGIES etc overall above 200 offerrs are made to our senior batch with the highest package of 32LPA and average package of around 4.5LPA. more than 60% of students get placed . I am also sitting for campus placement and wish to get placed soon

College Life is Fun, Various activities and events happen in and around college, you got to know about others and crowd is also decent, Mostly Students are from northern regions that is Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand .
Teachers are good and placement coordinators also help students to get good package on campus. a decent package can be bagged by a student if he/she seriously study and obtain a decent CGPA in exam. Make sure you clear all exams till 8th semester.
Infrastructure Is also good, laboratories are fitted with new desktops and campus size is also decent, Tuck shops and various Canteens are available inside the campus. Also Central Library is there inside the campus where students can study in exam t

Dislikes

The curriculum for 1st and 2nd semester is purely based on subjects that you studied in 11th and 12th, the advance versions of those topics are there in 1st and 2nd semester which make it difficult for students to get good grades.
The placement in other branches like Mechanical, electrical is mere, and one can face difficult in getting on campus placement if he/she belongs to these streams. Also Lack of practical knowledge is there in these streams, Theory is more focused.
If one opt for hostels, then the hostel facilities are not as good as it should be , the mess food is pathetic and one can face difficulty if he/she opt for hostel, also campartively hostel fees are also very high, whereas nearby Pg's are cheaper

Placement Experience:

placement is good in our college. Aveage package is 400000, and average package for cse stream is approx 500000. Various companies like alstom, infosys, accenture, TCS, Wipro, amazon, Walmart, JP Morgan chase and co. etc visit campus every year and recruit students. Approx 300+ companies visit campus and above 80% of cse students are placed but In other streams like ECE.EE and ME etc placements are campartively lower and students face difficulty in order to get placed. MY plan is job oriented i also want to get placed on campus and hope so i will get placed in a good company.
