Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course curriculum is pretty nice. But they have a lot of subjects in each semester and there is a hectic schedule for the student as we barely get time for self-study. Also for so many subjects as like 7 were in my first sem and 9 in the second set, they take tests for each subject 3 times in the semester in addition to mid-term and end terms, so you are going to really buy with the studies and if you want to do any extra thing you must sacrifice your studies a little for that. Teachers are good

Internships Opportunities

1.5

Many companies as I mentioned earlier like Cognizant, google, microsoft etc have come to college and given job opportunities. Many roles such as SDE intern, Marketing intern and other intership opportunities are given by companies based on your skills and knowledge. From the first sem onwards you can become a campus ambassador from various teaching platforms like hacker rank and HackerEarth. I am a campus ambassador for a company named Teachnook.

Placement Experience

1.5

Students are eligible for placements from the 5th sem onwards, although they can bag any internship if they are sourcing themselves from LinkedIn. Amazon, apple, google, microsoft, just pay, cognizant and many companies do visit colleges and mostly give packages ranging from 3-4 lpa. However average placement in the college show is 6.4lpa which is merely a reality in my opinion. Almost 100s of companies visit and take many students even with low salary packages. The highest placement offered in Camus is 62lps which is international. Also, one student from LPU passout from the 2018 batch is now working in Germany for a whopping 3 crore package

Fees and Financial Aid

I just entered my second year and I found that the fee for the hostel and mess was increased and not for semester charges. The hostel charges were increased by 5000 and mess too. The sem fee is 120000 and as for the scholarship, I have to give 74400 per semester another good thing is that this scholarship will be available till the last year of my college. Also, there is a hidden charge of 4000 each semester as exam charges they take. As you can get a scholarship by either from JEE MAINS percentile, or 12th board marks or from the LPUNEST the college take separately. The college also provides loans for the needy at 12% interest. The college keeps on introducing different part-time jobs like data entry in college and gives a stipend which can be your pocket money, also you must search for internship opportunities from time to time and thus you will get experience and land a better job.

Campus Life

3.5

As this is a private college all they could show to attract students is feasts and events so these are really awesome. They also organise fairs which are good enough. In many big events like one world and one india which are organised here, you will see a great diversity and everyone representing their state or country. There are different food or game stalls which the students can themselves apply and they just have to give some money to college and then any profit they make, it's them to keep it . The central library is really a good place and provides almost every book you are searching for . Classrooms are well equipped with ac and smartboards. The major thing in the college is the support in sports facilities, every time in 2-3 months you will see any of the sports events will be going on and if you are a sports enthusiast they really do support your talent and help to represent yourself in competitions. There are almost 50+ clubs that will help you build your cv and your personality.

Admission

The eligibility of the course was the stream of science in classes 11th and 12 and the subjects must be PCM. Thus the entrance exam known as LPUNEST was conducted online with an online proctor for the exam and a time of 2 hours. The subjects were physics, chemistry, maths and English as well as aptitude. Also, I got almost 38% scholarship from the entrance exam. Any student can also take admission through JEe mains percentile and will get a scholarship according to that. Admission is also directly possible through your board percentage. All the details regarding the admission process could be found on their website itself. There are also reservation benefits for sc and st candidates.

Other Applied Colleges

University of Engineering and Management - [UEM] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Electrical and Electronics Engineering)

The placements were not so good as LPU and also the alumni network was not much strong.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
