What Students Say

Likes

The campus is very big and lush green . It is very good.
Placement and training cell is very good .
Placemet record are also very good and chances of getting placed are very high.

Dislikes

Sometime due to a lot of extracurricular activities it can be tough to study.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course for my passion for computer science. Lpu promises various exposure and opportunities which no other college provides. The student: faculty ratio is about 30: 1 which is very impressive. All faculties are phd holders with 5 to 10 years of prior teaching experience. Term exams were held in every 3 months and the difficulty of exams in moderate.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 150000 per year

Internships Opportunities

4.5

A lot of companies give internships in our college. Many students have even got internships from Google also. I also got 3 internships with a stipend of around 25k each. Companies role is the junior developer. We have worked on many database-based projects.

Placement Experience

4.5

After 6 students become eligible for campus placement. Almost 600 companies visited last year. Big companies like Google, microsoft, and Amazon as well as companies loke tcs visited our campuses. The highest ctc the previous year was of 3 cr. Around 89 per cent of students got placed in different companies. I want to get placed in a product-based company.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee hike is very nominal. Also, the cost to study for me is worth it for the exposure and opportunities the college provides. Other than government scholarships there are many private scholarships also worth 100 crores that can be availed through LPUNEST.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life at lpu is next to none. It is very colourful and happens all the time. The campus 600 acres with lush greenery. The central library is huge and contains 1000s of books of various genres and any student can get it. Sports and extracurricular are very good and they happen from time to time. There are many clubs such as robotics, theatre .etc.

Admission

I got admitted through jee the main score. After jee the main result was out we have to fill up Punjab counselling. After that fill up choice filling. Then a date will be allowed to come to college for the paperwork and admission process. To find the application form. Also you can get admitted through LPUNEST which is an entrance type of exam. LPUNEST this year's schedule is 15 July. LPUNEST is the official entrance and scholarship exam for lpu. In addition to this university accepts several other entrance exams like jee main, Nata etc. For candidates taking admission to LPU, various scholarships are available. Lpu provides a scholarship scheme of up to INR 5.4 lakh per student. In addition to this lpu scholarships worth over INR 100 crore were awarded in 2021. After the completion of the course, students are open to multiple opportunities. For sc/st/obc students there are many governments as well as lpu scholarships that can be availed with proper certificates. The admission process is very easy.

the placements in this university are great, all the big tech companies do visit while placements and provide jobs to the deserved students.

Dislikes

All the online courses should be reduced.
nothing is there in the university that is to dislike.
majority of the things are all good in our university.

Placement Experience:

The placemnets in the university starts from the 3 year only. companies comes in the 3rd year, students= can give interviews in this year, and they can get the NOC. wich means you can go for the job or the iinternship and there is no need to take the classes, because you are taking the indyustry level experience in the prior basis also.

Dislikes

hectic schedules drain the soul of you .
frequent exams test that are totally unnecesary
attendance is another nuisance , having 75 percent is must

A TOUR TO CGC LANDRAN

Likes

Events are more frequent here and most of the stars from punjabi industry are called more often for film promotions
No ragging is there infact seniors are friendly and try to help juniors
TPP (training and placement program) is provided that help students to crack placements

Dislikes

Attendance criteria (minimum 75 % is essential to maintain to be eligible to give exams)
Class timings are fixed from 9:15 to 4:35 and you can not enter in between 10 to 12:00 PM as gates are closed for this duration
Strength is rapidly increasing as new courses are introduced which increases competition during placements

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement students need to enroll in TPP(Training and placement program) in order to get eligible for campus placement, Many companies visit our campus for eg Capgemini, LNT, ZSCALER, EDIFECS, AMAZON, PWC, WATCHGUARD TECHNOLOGIES etc overall above 200 offerrs are made to our senior batch with the highest package of 32LPA and average package of around 4.5LPA. more than 60% of students get placed . I am also sitting for campus placement and wish to get placed soon

College Life is Fun, Various activities and events happen in and around college, you got to know about others and crowd is also decent, Mostly Students are from northern regions that is Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand .
Teachers are good and placement coordinators also help students to get good package on campus. a decent package can be bagged by a student if he/she seriously study and obtain a decent CGPA in exam. Make sure you clear all exams till 8th semester.
Infrastructure Is also good, laboratories are fitted with new desktops and campus size is also decent, Tuck shops and various Canteens are available inside the campus. Also Central Library is there inside the campus where students can study in exam t

Dislikes

The curriculum for 1st and 2nd semester is purely based on subjects that you studied in 11th and 12th, the advance versions of those topics are there in 1st and 2nd semester which make it difficult for students to get good grades.
The placement in other branches like Mechanical, electrical is mere, and one can face difficult in getting on campus placement if he/she belongs to these streams. Also Lack of practical knowledge is there in these streams, Theory is more focused.
If one opt for hostels, then the hostel facilities are not as good as it should be , the mess food is pathetic and one can face difficulty if he/she opt for hostel, also campartively hostel fees are also very high, whereas nearby Pg's are cheaper

Placement Experience:

placement is good in our college. Aveage package is 400000, and average package for cse stream is approx 500000. Various companies like alstom, infosys, accenture, TCS, Wipro, amazon, Walmart, JP Morgan chase and co. etc visit campus every year and recruit students. Approx 300+ companies visit campus and above 80% of cse students are placed but In other streams like ECE.EE and ME etc placements are campartively lower and students face difficulty in order to get placed. MY plan is job oriented i also want to get placed on campus and hope so i will get placed in a good company.
