Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose the course because I wanted to study the course. The Infrastructure I got to know about the college was fine. Placement news and opportunities were good. The faculty-student ratio is a bit skewed, but the faculty will help/focus on you if you show intent in class. You have to prioritise your studies and go to the faculty if you have issues, the faculty will surely help you. The teaching method varies from faculty to faculty. Some just read off ppts, while some spend a generous amount of time explaining concepts. You'll receive a mixed bag every semester. Exams are fairly regular and force you to study regularly and attend your classes. Fairly easy to pass, but some subjects are evaluated in the wrong format, making the evaluation unfair.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Google has an Android development program, Microsoft, IBM, Intel, Cadence, Bosch, Siemens, VMware IT academy, Dell EMC, NSE academy, Futurense, Kalvium, Quantiphi, KPMG, Texas Instruments, Safeducate, Informatica, ETC are companies providing internship opportunities at various roles. Primarily internships are offered at a 1.5-2 lpa rate, but payments are often period-wise, and students get about 15000-30000 in a good placement.

Placement Experience

3.5

Students become eligible from the 4th semester for placements. The college starts prepping you for placements in the first semester itself. The actual number might vary, but the college claims about 2000+ companies come to the college for placements. About 10000+ offers were made. As per 2023 facts, 42 lpa is the highest Domestic package. The average package is 6-7 LPA. About 30-40% of students get average to more than-average packages. Most of the other students get subpar/mass recruiter packages. Personally, I want to get placed at least above 10lpa.

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost to study is fairly at par with all other colleges at this level. Fees are as per my research the same for the last 4-5 years. When/how they increase the fee is completely opaque to the outside world. I got the lpunest scholarship through the lpunest exam, which is 20% of the tuition fee. I applied for an on-campus job but sadly didn't get back to any.

Campus Life

4.5

Annual Fest Are Two. One India/world, and YouthVibe. Both happen in even semesters. One World is Primarily organised by the college, Youth vibe is By the student in front of The college. The library is decked with books. Just remember the books won't be there before the night of CA/midterms. Endterms time books are there XD. Sports are highly encouraged. Quite a lot of sports events happen every semester. DSW is the hub of all the student welfare activities in the college, and it is filled with creative and enthusiastic people. Students have a lot to do and give to the college if they offer the right way

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel rooms are adequately furnished. You need to bring your own bedding. Electricity is 24x7 available, as well as water. Some rooms have bad sunlight so lights are always on, But hostel rooms are fine. Food is okay. Non-veg is not allowed on the campus, which is in retrospect, a good decision. Keeps the campus nice and clean. Devoid of any unwanted smells. Registration for the hostels is easy, Just visit the website and book the hostel. It's as hassle-free as it can get. PG locality is nearby but students also choose to come from slightly faraway places too.

Admission

Eligibility is fairly simple. A candidate needs to score at least 65% on his boards to be eligible for admission. More marks make the candidate eligible for the scholarships available against the tuition fee. The College is widely advertised, in papers, as well as websites, television, and social media as well. As a result, The admission form is easy to find over the Internet. Also, the college sets up remote offices in all the metro cities for the ease of the students. Actually, the admission process has no issues in it. Only the on-campus experience is a bit clumsy while reporting at the campus, but that is still better than other colleges.

Other Applied Colleges

Vellore Institute of Technology - [VIT University] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
