Remarks

The college is pretty awesome in every aspect although there are scope of improvisation like the infrastructure could be better. The rules regarding the girls are quite ridiculous I would say, there in time is 8:30PM for hostel. Also they impose heavy fine on failing to follow the rules. The 75% attendance is a head ache of its own.

Entrance Preview

I wrote the JEE MAINS exam and got around 40000th rank. I got admission in CSE branch which fills first amongst the other branches. I was getting pritty good NITs but I decided to take up AIT because its opens various opportunities for army and has a better culture than the other colleges. No, there was not any interview, you just had to varify your documents and if everything goes well you are part of AIT. But the placement were good for Electronics and mechanical guys too, but its just that core companies for Electronics doesn't comes to our campus and pune being a IT hub, the mechanical guys also suffers a bit. In computer and IT department the placement was 98%, for Mechanical it was around 75% and for Electronics it was around 88%. The highest package was 35 lacs and minimum was around 3.5 lacs also Average salary is 5 lacs. That is why took up CSE.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course I chose is B.E CSE, its pretty much cool, because the coding culture of AIT is very good. They really focus on the practical skills of their students through regular practical classes and proper teaching. Many of our teachers are PHD and many are pursuing PHD. You can choose CSE, IT, MECH or ECE with 60 students in each class in our college. Our college gives scholarship to students with SGPA >= 9 i.e. around 82%. The highest stipend that I know of is 4000 a month.

Internships Opportunities

Our college does provide internships. I have an internship this December in Veritas. They are paying 40000 stipend for a month. The internship is 2 months long. If have to give the average stipend then it would be around 50000.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placements mainly occurs in the starting of the final year. Being in a Army college, the best thing is that they make you well discipline and helps you develop enough skills and confidence that you are not only ready to face any interview but also the life ahead very conveniently and without loosing your cool. The placement went pretty well. But its the Computers and IT which were ahead of the other branches, be it number of placement, be it about big placements. Almost all the seniors in computers got placed and they were the once who got the big packages too. Companies like Compworld, HSBC, Amazon, MU-Sigma, TCS etc came to our campus. Students were offered various roles such as of analyst, programmer, developer, etc. Our college gives scholarship to students with SGPA >= 9 i.e. around 82%. The highest stipend that I know of is 4000 a month.

College Events

4

We have Cultural Akriti which is the biggest event for cultural in our college, then we have tech akriti which consist of various coding competitions. The participation is pretty massive. Being the army wards we are quite good in managing things, so, the events were well organised. We got full support from college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is more or less like a private college managed by AWES army officials. So, the fees is much the same as other private colleges i.e I paid 2.11 lacs for the first year and 1.9 for the second and the third.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college provides with various scholarships such as AGIF, DLF etc. I got AGIF in the first year and it was worth 40000. We can get education loan for which the college provides all the necessary details and requirements.

Campus Life

3.5

Being a college where all the students are army personals wards, our college is exceptionally well in sports and extra cirrucular activities . Our college supports talents of students and help them pursue it as a career.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The WIFI facilities are excellent doesn't matter whether you are in labs, hostel, library etc, they have really implemented it well. The class rooms are well maintained and clean with installed projector and comfortable space for all. Library is the main attracting building of our campus. Its got big and beautiful reading hall, over 10,000 of books, with full power back up and is fully air conditioned. The campus has also focused on the physical development of students by providing proper playing environment to the students. The campus area is around 30 acres is pretty small as a college. The canteen is very hygienic, the food served is worth paying for and strict actions are taken if it does not meet the standard quality. There is a issue with the hotel rooms. The number of students in AIT are more than the available rooms in the hostel although they are making arrangements for them. The rooms are cleaned every now and then, the power cuts are almost negligible, no complaints for bed bugs. They sends the extra students to outside the campus to near by location called "Training Battalian 2".

Alumni/Alumna

Our Alumni Network really strong. I still talk to my convocated seniors and take their advise on possibly everything. They are like the real stars of my college life.

Exam Structure

Sometimes you feel tied of continuously practicing your coding skills. But still the coding environment is so good that you will easily get motivated again to do more of the coding work. When you go to bed with a satisfaction of doing the work pretty well its an awesome feeling all together. The culture AIT has for coding is quite famous in all of the colleges in pune. We have won in almost all the coding competitions that we attended.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty is very helpful and knowledgeable. Our faculty consist of very profound teachers of their respective fields however like every other college there are a few who are not very much into teaching but still somehow pulling it off. Mainly we have chalk board studies , the teacher may use projector and the assignments and other useful information is shared through moodle. There are 6-7 faculty members on a class of 60 students. We surely gets a trip to an industry to get the insights and have a exposure to the industrial environment. Of course the course curriculum was useful to understand the basics however the application in the companies differs for sure.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Placement Experience:

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
