Likes

college life is very good but busy , the campus is always in news for activities
Infrastructure in more than 600 acers and there are more then 60 building including indoor sports stadium , audotrium , etc
Faculty are also so helpful , you can reach them whenever they have free slot

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose computer science, because I dont want to do field work and there is a lot of scopes this branch is trending and has a good amount of package there is a good student-faculty ratio in each section, there is around 70 student and there is more than 70 section for CS There are so many faculty who is master in their field and have a higher degree, some of them are GATE qualified Exams were on exactly on time and the LPu exam is a little bit tough to pass and if you invest a good amount of time you can score a good mark

Course Fees: INR 150000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There are many companies for internship like Microsoft, IBM, Pega, Bosch etc for an internship in btech cs, you have a master's in DSA and knowledge about DBMS, Operating systems and some unique projects and also a good coating rating on platform like Leetcode, Codechef, Codeforces help I this

Placement Experience

From 3rd year Students are eligible for campus placement There are more than 500 companies that visited in LPu and offer a good amount of packages, Companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Meta, Vipro, and many more Oncampus's highest package is around 67 lakhs per annum and Offcampus is 3 cr. The average package in LPU for B.tech CS is around 7-8 laks per annum

Fees and Financial Aid

The general fee for b.tech cse is 2.4 laks per year, but you can get scholarship upto 40% Hostel and Mees fees are very flexible you can choose according to your situation, there is alot of options in Hostel And Mess, Hostel fees start from around 50k to 1.5 laks and mess fess around 25k to 40k. LPUNEST is the only exam where you can get a scholarship

Campus Life

LPU Library is so huge, there are 5 floors of the Library and you can find any book related to your course or another context, we never buy a single book everything is present in the library The classroom is also se huge and has a good space in the classroom. there are full AC and fans, there is facility of a Projector in class In terms of sports, there are big names from LPU like Nitraj Chopra and many National level Players from LPU , and you can get a Scholarship from sports, Around every weekend LPu organise a tournament of each sport indoor as well as outdoor Most of the groups and clubs in LPU are run by students and then organise the big fest

Admission

The Eligibility for b.tech is, 60% marks in 12th board with Math, Physics, Chemistry and English You can find this on the website addmision.lpu.in, generally start of the exam in June and end in August. There is a Scholarship test at LPU called LPUNEST. I fill the form which cost 1 thousand, and within 1 week I got my exam date. This Exam was in online mode, but now there are both options for LPUNEST, you can give it online or offline as your choice, After 48 hours I got the result and I got a 38% scholarship. There is also an option for improvement in LPUNEST, if you think you can do better than the previous test you can go for it no extra cost is required for that.

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts
Skilled professional educators and tutors

Dislikes

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

Placement Experience:

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

Aqi was soo good because plants and tree was so much

Mess food was bad but it doesn't taste that bad
If we Complaint about anything college mostly ignore it

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements and tata or Infosys companies visited and about 60 to 70 percent students were placed and my plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies doing mtech from iit

I like the most about the college the placement criteria and the way built your confidence
Also the hostel is very good and provide food 4 times
The campus explorer is also very nice according to me

Faculty is not soo well had a lit bit inconvenience
Hostel mess food is not good at some time
Placement is decent and average as like other collage

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late
Great mentors and very helpful teachers who are always willing to help

Dislikes

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
