What Students Say

Likes

Infrastructure of the college and the campus.
Overall facilities provided by the college in academics as well as extra curricular activities.
Opportunities provided by college if you are fit for that opportunity.

Dislikes

Crowd of this college ,lots of students are in campus.
Intake of students is not limited , student intake is very heigh.
Anyone can get B.tech in cse here easily.

Course Curriculum Overview

Am purchasing a b.tech in CSE, and the course curriculum is really good but if we talk about faculties then not all faculties are good it totally depends on your luck, we may get good teachers as well as bad. All teachers have good knowledge of their field most of them are p.hd holders but the way of teaching of all teachers is not that good.

Class Size: 71Course Fees: INR 168000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The actual tuition fee is 120000 per semester. But it will score well in LPU-NEST then you get the opportunity for a scholarship. I got a 30 % scholarship so my tuition fee per sem is 84k. And if we are talking about hostel and mess fees it depends on which type of room ur taking. For 4- a seater room non- AC am giving 70k and the mess fee is 35k for the whole year 3- times meal.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life is good. The infrastructure structure of this campus is amazing, also all facilities are available, and you will get anything uh want inside the campus. Sports facilities are also really good, indo sports stadium is also available, gym, mall all are available inside the campus only.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facility is really good, inside the hostel grocery shop, canteen, barber Shop, and study room are available. Am hostel fees for a 4-seater is 70k for a whole year. And the quality of the mess is ok but not bad, and the mess food is purely veg, nonveg food you will not get .my mess fee is 35k for a whole year and it is three times the meal.

Hostel Fee: INR 700000 per year

Admission

I had given the entrance exam LPU-NEST which is conducted by the college itself, through which I got a 30% scholarship on my tuition fees. There are also other ways to get a scholarship such as if you will score above 90 percentile in jee mains then also you will get a 30% scholarship.

The campus is beautiful, spacious, and offers good infrastructure with modern facilities.
The university provides good exposure to technical courses, eventrs , clubs, and extracurricular activities.
The campus has good labs, a library, and facilities that support students academic development.

Dislikes

The fees are high and losing a scholarship due to cgpa requirements can create a significant financial burden.
More personalized mentorship and regular career guidance sessions would help student prepare for their future carees.
more internship opportunities would further improve students professional growth.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the CSE curriculum covers relevant subjects and provides a good foundation programming and computer science. It prepares students for futher studies and careers, through more industry-based projects and practical learning would be bemigficial. Exams include MSTs and ESTs, with a manageable difficulty level through regi;ar preparation.

college life of Chandigarh university is so good, all the events do happen .
teachers are so experienced and they are so supportive in here.
the placements in this university are great, all the big tech companies do visit while placements and provide jobs to the deserved students.

Dislikes

All the online courses should be reduced.
nothing is there in the university that is to dislike.
majority of the things are all good in our university.

Placement Experience:

The placemnets in the university starts from the 3 year only. companies comes in the 3rd year, students= can give interviews in this year, and they can get the NOC. wich means you can go for the job or the iinternship and there is no need to take the classes, because you are taking the indyustry level experience in the prior basis also.

Likes

campus life is absolutely banger and it is great to have friends here
crowd is bonkers , except some local peeps , they'd be behaving weird
major events like freshers and orientation , they bring crazzy artists

Dislikes

hectic schedules drain the soul of you .
frequent exams test that are totally unnecesary
attendance is another nuisance , having 75 percent is must

Placement Experience:

placements of 2.8 cr occured but it was only one , most of the placements packages go under 8 lpa and extra fees has to be paid in order to be eligible for placement drives and that too doen't ensure the placement

A TOUR TO CGC LANDRAN

Likes

Events are more frequent here and most of the stars from punjabi industry are called more often for film promotions
No ragging is there infact seniors are friendly and try to help juniors
TPP (training and placement program) is provided that help students to crack placements

Dislikes

Attendance criteria (minimum 75 % is essential to maintain to be eligible to give exams)
Class timings are fixed from 9:15 to 4:35 and you can not enter in between 10 to 12:00 PM as gates are closed for this duration
Strength is rapidly increasing as new courses are introduced which increases competition during placements

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement students need to enroll in TPP(Training and placement program) in order to get eligible for campus placement, Many companies visit our campus for eg Capgemini, LNT, ZSCALER, EDIFECS, AMAZON, PWC, WATCHGUARD TECHNOLOGIES etc overall above 200 offerrs are made to our senior batch with the highest package of 32LPA and average package of around 4.5LPA. more than 60% of students get placed . I am also sitting for campus placement and wish to get placed soon

College Life is Fun, Various activities and events happen in and around college, you got to know about others and crowd is also decent, Mostly Students are from northern regions that is Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand .
Teachers are good and placement coordinators also help students to get good package on campus. a decent package can be bagged by a student if he/she seriously study and obtain a decent CGPA in exam. Make sure you clear all exams till 8th semester.
Infrastructure Is also good, laboratories are fitted with new desktops and campus size is also decent, Tuck shops and various Canteens are available inside the campus. Also Central Library is there inside the campus where students can study in exam t

Dislikes

The curriculum for 1st and 2nd semester is purely based on subjects that you studied in 11th and 12th, the advance versions of those topics are there in 1st and 2nd semester which make it difficult for students to get good grades.
The placement in other branches like Mechanical, electrical is mere, and one can face difficult in getting on campus placement if he/she belongs to these streams. Also Lack of practical knowledge is there in these streams, Theory is more focused.
If one opt for hostels, then the hostel facilities are not as good as it should be , the mess food is pathetic and one can face difficulty if he/she opt for hostel, also campartively hostel fees are also very high, whereas nearby Pg's are cheaper

Placement Experience:

placement is good in our college. Aveage package is 400000, and average package for cse stream is approx 500000. Various companies like alstom, infosys, accenture, TCS, Wipro, amazon, Walmart, JP Morgan chase and co. etc visit campus every year and recruit students. Approx 300+ companies visit campus and above 80% of cse students are placed but In other streams like ECE.EE and ME etc placements are campartively lower and students face difficulty in order to get placed. MY plan is job oriented i also want to get placed on campus and hope so i will get placed in a good company.
