Diversity - University have a great diversity, which helps to explore new things and to learn a lot.
Campus - University have great campus with very good nature and greenery and great architecture.

Dislikes

Library - It gets closed at 12AM, some students have a habit to study in midnight.

Course Curriculum Overview

As I was intrusted in coding so I decided to pursue Computer science engineering at lpu because the qualifications and the way of teaching of the faculties are great. In every class, there are 72 students taught by a teacher with a way named LTP ( Lecture Tutorials Practical ), eg LTP for a course is 312 means 3 lectures, 1 tutorial and 2 practicals per weak, in practical there are only 36 students so every student should interact with the teacher.

Class Size: 72Course Fees: INR 240000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The per semester fee is 120000 for computer science engineering, with a 40% scholarship 72000 per semester, and 4000 examination fee per semester. After 1st year you can get many other scholarships regarding your cgpa and other curricular activities, you can also work part-time inside the campus if needed.

Campus Life

A lot of fests are conducted every month like fishermen induction is conducted for freshers every year for a month, many activities are done in it like playing, singing, dancing etc. Every kind of book is available in Central Library. The university promotes sports a lot if you are good at them you can get a lot of opportunities. The department DSW handles every kind of activity, and to get into that department interviews are conducted. Everyone can apply for it through UMS (student personal online portal).

Hostel Facilities

Every kind of rooms are available like 1-5 seater AC - Non AC rooms, dormitory's . in a room there is a bed personal table and chair and seprated washroom , bathroom and a balcony. Thisere a huge menu of mess for 2 weaks with different kind of options like 2 times meal , 3 time meal and 3 time meel with snack and mess is optional. Student can register for hostal and mess after admission . If u want to stay out the campus there are a lot of places to stay like phagwara, chahru, lawgate and many more.

Hostel Fee: INR 100000 per year

Admission

Yes, an entrance exam named as lpunest is conducted 2 times every month. This test provides scholarships for students from 10-40 %, as per semester fee is 120000 if you pass the exam from grade 1 you will be granted with 40 % of the scholarship, with 40% of scholarship students per semester fee coming to be 72000. To apply for the test student should visit lpunest entrance exam website. Fee to apply for boys is 1000 Rs and for girls its 500 Rs. If anyhow any student is not satisfied with his grade on the first attempt he/she can go for the second attempt without paying it for the second time and the best one will be counted.

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
