What Students Say

Likes

Not strict to attendence. One can easily take leave.
Very comfortable with seniors and other batchmates.
Good amount of teachers and helping too.

Dislikes

Campus size is very small compared to other colleges.
Your are not alloed to roam or be in the college after 5 pm.

Course Curriculum Overview

As I am interested in learning about computer skills so I filled computer science engineering and information technology branches as my priority. I got information technology. The course is decent, the first year is the same as all the branches but from the second year onwards it is more based on the branch chosen. The faculties are decent and helping too.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 169200 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The amount of fee I paid for the 1st year in this college was 169200 Rs. It is a big amount considering the campus size and facilities. The second year cost about 159000 Rs. Scholarships are also available for students but as I m not eligible for this I dont know about the procedure to apply.

Campus Life

There are annual and tech fests in the college. The date and month are not fixed, it is somewhat flexible I would say. The name of the annual fest is Malhaar and it is fabulous considering the size and area of the college is not much. Sports facilities and nice majorly for cricket, football and volleyball.

Admission

The admission process is based on jee mains exam. I got a 95k rank so I applied for gggsipu counselling and in spot round 1, I got the information technology branch in Bpit. The cutoff is much higher for outside delhi candidates in slidings rounds so I waited for spot round 1 to get this branch in this college.

How Good B.Tech. from JAMIA MILLIA ISLAMIA is?

Likes

Here in Jamia the faculty is very experienced in their fields , they make you feel Engineering and not to just read books. there teaching methods are amog the top in the nation
the curriculum not just focus on your engineering but also focuses on your personality development.
the infrastructure itself gives you the feel of oldness and the reputation of the college.

Dislikes

one bad thing is its less availability of Hostel rooms .
there is a very strict rule of 75% attendance .

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

No facilities of hostel available in our college

The Dream College Life

Likes

The campus is completely different from the whole city, it is more cleaner and is quiet peaceful with various different beautiful views at different points and is not too big so could easily walk through the campus.
Has really great architecture of the buildings and is surrounded by really intelligent people including some over the top profs and some really great minds from the country.
The night life is completely different and is one of the best part of staying in campus.

Dislikes

some of the hostels are quiet old and need renovation.

Placement Experience:

If you study passionately and have decent communication skills and some important competencies, I assure you that you will secure a position in a great company. Here at IIT Delhi, you earn what you work for; you can receive salary packages as high as 2 crores, but some offers start as low as 4 lakhs per annum.
