What Students Say

Likes

world class Infrastructure with a huge campus
get a lot of opportunities in form of placements
You will get friends to make from all over the country

Dislikes

Regular classes some times you get exhausted
I am from south I felt very bad about food it will take some time to adugest
You have to walk around 2km for going to class from main gate

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose cse because I have a very good understanding of Logical reasoning and I am very interested in computer programs. There are very experienced faculty and the university is very good at allocating resources. There will be 2 Semesters and 2 Mid Semester per year. 1 mid-per-semester.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 63000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There are a lot of companies that are coming to the college and providing internships with stipends with a lot of roles. The students get a lot of opportunities to get an internship as there are a number of companies visiting college.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements will be started after the completion of 3rd year's 1st sem, but after 3rd year you will get a lot of companies because companies prefer students of fourth-year students. Almost all the students will get placements unless you are not interested and you have backlogs.

Fees and Financial Aid

The Fee structure is based on your Score in Lpu nest. I got the scholarship like 40% of the total fee which was in 2020 I dont know how it is now. I think if you are staying in a hostel you can get a part-time job. But do not depend on it.

Campus Life

There are many fests conducted every time. The biggest fest is One India and One World conducted in the month of May. There is a huge Library where you can find all the books and journals that you need. There is a huge indoor stadium and an Olympic-sized swimming pool.

Admission

Eligibility for the course is for me I am a student of MPC so I was eligible for BTech in CSE and I found the application form online from the university website and then I paid a fee of 500 INR. Selected a slot to write the LPU Nest exam for my scholarship. Based on the result you will get a scholarship. I think there are no reservation benefits based on caste but you get a Sports reservation and you also get a reservation if you are from an army family.

The university provides good exposure to technical courses, eventrs , clubs, and extracurricular activities.
The campus has good labs, a library, and facilities that support students academic development.

The fees are high and losing a scholarship due to cgpa requirements can create a significant financial burden.
More personalized mentorship and regular career guidance sessions would help student prepare for their future carees.
more internship opportunities would further improve students professional growth.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the CSE curriculum covers relevant subjects and provides a good foundation programming and computer science. It prepares students for futher studies and careers, through more industry-based projects and practical learning would be bemigficial. Exams include MSTs and ESTs, with a manageable difficulty level through regi;ar preparation.

teachers are so experienced and they are so supportive in here.
the placements in this university are great, all the big tech companies do visit while placements and provide jobs to the deserved students.

All the online courses should be reduced.
nothing is there in the university that is to dislike.
majority of the things are all good in our university.

Placement Experience:

The placemnets in the university starts from the 3 year only. companies comes in the 3rd year, students= can give interviews in this year, and they can get the NOC. wich means you can go for the job or the iinternship and there is no need to take the classes, because you are taking the indyustry level experience in the prior basis also.

Dislikes

hectic schedules drain the soul of you .
frequent exams test that are totally unnecesary
attendance is another nuisance , having 75 percent is must

A TOUR TO CGC LANDRAN

Likes

Events are more frequent here and most of the stars from punjabi industry are called more often for film promotions
No ragging is there infact seniors are friendly and try to help juniors
TPP (training and placement program) is provided that help students to crack placements

Dislikes

Attendance criteria (minimum 75 % is essential to maintain to be eligible to give exams)
Class timings are fixed from 9:15 to 4:35 and you can not enter in between 10 to 12:00 PM as gates are closed for this duration
Strength is rapidly increasing as new courses are introduced which increases competition during placements

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement students need to enroll in TPP(Training and placement program) in order to get eligible for campus placement, Many companies visit our campus for eg Capgemini, LNT, ZSCALER, EDIFECS, AMAZON, PWC, WATCHGUARD TECHNOLOGIES etc overall above 200 offerrs are made to our senior batch with the highest package of 32LPA and average package of around 4.5LPA. more than 60% of students get placed . I am also sitting for campus placement and wish to get placed soon

College Life is Fun, Various activities and events happen in and around college, you got to know about others and crowd is also decent, Mostly Students are from northern regions that is Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand .
Teachers are good and placement coordinators also help students to get good package on campus. a decent package can be bagged by a student if he/she seriously study and obtain a decent CGPA in exam. Make sure you clear all exams till 8th semester.
Infrastructure Is also good, laboratories are fitted with new desktops and campus size is also decent, Tuck shops and various Canteens are available inside the campus. Also Central Library is there inside the campus where students can study in exam t

Dislikes

The curriculum for 1st and 2nd semester is purely based on subjects that you studied in 11th and 12th, the advance versions of those topics are there in 1st and 2nd semester which make it difficult for students to get good grades.
The placement in other branches like Mechanical, electrical is mere, and one can face difficult in getting on campus placement if he/she belongs to these streams. Also Lack of practical knowledge is there in these streams, Theory is more focused.
If one opt for hostels, then the hostel facilities are not as good as it should be , the mess food is pathetic and one can face difficulty if he/she opt for hostel, also campartively hostel fees are also very high, whereas nearby Pg's are cheaper

Placement Experience:

placement is good in our college. Aveage package is 400000, and average package for cse stream is approx 500000. Various companies like alstom, infosys, accenture, TCS, Wipro, amazon, Walmart, JP Morgan chase and co. etc visit campus every year and recruit students. Approx 300+ companies visit campus and above 80% of cse students are placed but In other streams like ECE.EE and ME etc placements are campartively lower and students face difficulty in order to get placed. MY plan is job oriented i also want to get placed on campus and hope so i will get placed in a good company.
