What Students Say

Likes

campus area , fests , faculty , hostel facillities , ground , labs
classs rooms which were like too big , student who make clubs
sports facilty , mall inside the campus.

Dislikes

accomodation , area which is not too good
fees which is too much higher for a middle class person
student intake is too much bcz of which the craze is too much

Course Curriculum Overview

Because of the placement cell, we can get easily a package of 8 - 10 lpa in CSE. So I chose this course. The faculty-student ratio is about 1:50 because student intake is very high. some are opting for Ph.D. and teaching many were IITians. about 6 months 1 exam conducted if you will study moderately, you will easily pass the exam.

Class Size: 300Course Fees: INR 198000 per year

Placement Experience

From 3rd year like the 6th semester students start for the placement. Nearly about 500 companies visited like google microsoft apple like big companies also visited campus. The highest package gone was nearly 1 cr pa of 1 student and the average is about 7 lpa.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are very high which is a con and the cost to study nearly matter about your course varies from 50000 to 200000 inr per semester. For many scholarships are also provided like SC, ST, Kashmiri migrant, defense quota, or state topper. But it can recover as of your package.

Campus Life

4.5

The main fests are One World and one India which are held once a year and other fests are also good and get 3 months. The library is very large like a mall of books all the books are available. classrooms are air-facilitated. Lpu provides as much as sports activities as of study there are many cricket, and football clubs also.

Hostel Facilities

almirah, ac a study table, fan, lamp, a bed, and washroom. the meal is good 7 different days different food is provided and we can also change the menu by giving a letter to the warden. the hostel is costlier but it is affordable as per the facilities. Local PG is not as good as hostels.

Hostel Fee: INR 90000 per year

Admission

60% in class 12 is a must. you can google for the application form. only defense category scholarship is 10 - 20 % for the ex-defense person. The form fees should be low it is like 1000 -1500 but I think it should be about 500.

The university provides good exposure to technical courses, eventrs , clubs, and extracurricular activities.
The campus has good labs, a library, and facilities that support students academic development.

Dislikes

The fees are high and losing a scholarship due to cgpa requirements can create a significant financial burden.
More personalized mentorship and regular career guidance sessions would help student prepare for their future carees.
more internship opportunities would further improve students professional growth.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the CSE curriculum covers relevant subjects and provides a good foundation programming and computer science. It prepares students for futher studies and careers, through more industry-based projects and practical learning would be bemigficial. Exams include MSTs and ESTs, with a manageable difficulty level through regi;ar preparation.

teachers are so experienced and they are so supportive in here.
the placements in this university are great, all the big tech companies do visit while placements and provide jobs to the deserved students.

Dislikes

All the online courses should be reduced.
nothing is there in the university that is to dislike.
majority of the things are all good in our university.

Placement Experience:

The placemnets in the university starts from the 3 year only. companies comes in the 3rd year, students= can give interviews in this year, and they can get the NOC. wich means you can go for the job or the iinternship and there is no need to take the classes, because you are taking the indyustry level experience in the prior basis also.

crowd is bonkers , except some local peeps , they'd be behaving weird
major events like freshers and orientation , they bring crazzy artists

Dislikes

hectic schedules drain the soul of you .
frequent exams test that are totally unnecesary
attendance is another nuisance , having 75 percent is must

A TOUR TO CGC LANDRAN

Likes

Events are more frequent here and most of the stars from punjabi industry are called more often for film promotions
No ragging is there infact seniors are friendly and try to help juniors
TPP (training and placement program) is provided that help students to crack placements

Dislikes

Attendance criteria (minimum 75 % is essential to maintain to be eligible to give exams)
Class timings are fixed from 9:15 to 4:35 and you can not enter in between 10 to 12:00 PM as gates are closed for this duration
Strength is rapidly increasing as new courses are introduced which increases competition during placements

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement students need to enroll in TPP(Training and placement program) in order to get eligible for campus placement, Many companies visit our campus for eg Capgemini, LNT, ZSCALER, EDIFECS, AMAZON, PWC, WATCHGUARD TECHNOLOGIES etc overall above 200 offerrs are made to our senior batch with the highest package of 32LPA and average package of around 4.5LPA. more than 60% of students get placed . I am also sitting for campus placement and wish to get placed soon

College Life is Fun, Various activities and events happen in and around college, you got to know about others and crowd is also decent, Mostly Students are from northern regions that is Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand .
Teachers are good and placement coordinators also help students to get good package on campus. a decent package can be bagged by a student if he/she seriously study and obtain a decent CGPA in exam. Make sure you clear all exams till 8th semester.
Infrastructure Is also good, laboratories are fitted with new desktops and campus size is also decent, Tuck shops and various Canteens are available inside the campus. Also Central Library is there inside the campus where students can study in exam t

Dislikes

The curriculum for 1st and 2nd semester is purely based on subjects that you studied in 11th and 12th, the advance versions of those topics are there in 1st and 2nd semester which make it difficult for students to get good grades.
The placement in other branches like Mechanical, electrical is mere, and one can face difficult in getting on campus placement if he/she belongs to these streams. Also Lack of practical knowledge is there in these streams, Theory is more focused.
If one opt for hostels, then the hostel facilities are not as good as it should be , the mess food is pathetic and one can face difficulty if he/she opt for hostel, also campartively hostel fees are also very high, whereas nearby Pg's are cheaper

Placement Experience:

placement is good in our college. Aveage package is 400000, and average package for cse stream is approx 500000. Various companies like alstom, infosys, accenture, TCS, Wipro, amazon, Walmart, JP Morgan chase and co. etc visit campus every year and recruit students. Approx 300+ companies visit campus and above 80% of cse students are placed but In other streams like ECE.EE and ME etc placements are campartively lower and students face difficulty in order to get placed. MY plan is job oriented i also want to get placed on campus and hope so i will get placed in a good company.
