Remarks

Being here I am completely satisfied with all its facilities for the students. The infrastructure and the campus is wonderful. The faculties here are the highlights for this college. Overall each and every facility provided here is completely satisfactory.

Entrance Preview

There isn't any kind of entrance exam been conducted for the admissions here. The process is completely online where three different merit lists are been put up based on the students score what they have obtained in their HSC exam.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is fair enough. A three years course with 6 different semesters. Extra efforts are taken for practical learning as the course is 70% based on practical understandings.

Internships Opportunities

There are few internship programs conducted where a student is been selected based on his overall academic performance along with a personal interview. Stipend amount varies based on the students capability.

Placement Experience

The placements here just wonderful. There are number of companies visiting the campus every year. Last year from bio medical branch around 60% students were placed with an attractive salary package.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is a bit expensive as compared to other colleges. Being an unaided course moreover an autonomous college the fee what i paid recently was around 32,000 annually which is to be paid into two different installments.

Faculty

Faculties here at RRC are too good. Basically all of them are highly qualified in their subjects holding a good years of experience in teaching. They are quite friendly to the students, ever ready to help out the students coming up with their doubts.

Likes

I liked the affordability of the course, its uniqueness.
The classrooms and library are well made and structured, the college also has it's own clinic.
State of the art instruments for PTA, ABR, OAE testing, a friendly and educational environment, competition is very much there. We get hands on expereince in dealing with clients while taking case history, testing them and for counselling.

Dislikes

Things I dislike, the building isn't maintained properly, zero hygiene, students don't get frequent classes.
No notes or explanation provided, the environment can turn toxic as well.

Placement Experience:

Placements depend on the companies willing to organise an interview with the students. 75% of the students landed a job for 50000 after internship. Only one company visited us this year. On an average the package would be starting from 35000. My plans after getting my degree are to get a job and upskill myself soon after.

Teaching method is good and provides with notes.

Theory is well thaught here. We have very clear concepts about theory.

Pratical knowledge is less in our college

Girls to boys ratio is 1.5:1 in our college

Usually specific thing about our curriculum I like was eye disease and treatment part. Usually this curriculum really prepares good as we apply disease and treatment part directly to day to life. I think curriculum should be more detailed like include surgery part also.

Our campus is really clean and beautiful.
Library was quite pretty and comfortable to study.
Infrastructure is good and student friendly.

Dislikes

People judge according to how rich others are
The food is really expensive in our campus.
The money to pay for atkt fees is too expensive for 1 subject.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course helps patients who have difficulties both in physical and mental aspects. Hence i choose this course. Teaching can be more practical and visualized. And i expect the teachers to teach different disabilities on patients. The exams are conducted after every 3 months so there is sufficient time to catch up on studies. But since the topics are hard there is worry of forgetting by studying all the chapters at once.

A Perfect University for students who wants to learn

Likes

Amazing teachers that helps you understand each and every concepts easily
Amazing staff, the way that they handle things around
The events that are hosted every year. Its really good how the college also prioritise fun along with academics

Dislikes

The cafeteria is not that good. The food is average
Lack of amenities and machines used for eye checkup

Placement Experience:

The students usually become eligible for campus placements after 4th year when their internship is over. Ziess, Baush and Lomb, and Lenskart are the companies that visits often in the college. They provide with workshops for students and also offer jobs. The highest packages are offered based on your performances. But the lowest package is really good. Also a lot of students get placement from this college.

Remarks:

Pros. 100% placement, good demand in this field. One can easily earn 10k per day. This college is under central Govt (Ministry of social justice and empowerment) so tution fee is very less. This is situated in kolkata. Cons. Very less people know about this subject hence scare to take it as career.

Out of fright I applied to many colleges like KC , ruia , ruparel , wilson , Elphinstone etc but atlast decided to choose ruia as the microbiology department of ruia is outstanding and the no. of opportunities one can get when in ruia is very vast and the growth which happens in a place like ruia where there is a team/group/society for evey persons liking and ability . I didn't got any rejections as my score was 67 and every other college's science cut off was very low so there were many choices for me to make so as per the credibility of evey college i compared the department and curriculum and RUIA turned out to be the best . Ruia, A place where future leaders are shaped

Taking admission into my course needed a 10+2 certificate from any Nationally recognised board of education in Science stream. The students will have to first register on the University of Mumbai website after which they can register themselves on the college website. Once registered, the college puts up a cut off list for the course and admissions occur in 3 rounds. Reservation is present in admission to courses but depends on the cut off.
