Remarks

Thapar college is very restricted college for any bad activity. If any student found for any inactivity then he will be suspended. All students follow rule and regulation. Management is very good take action immediately .

Thapar Enterance for MCA Thapar university conduct special test to shortlist students for MCA course.

Internships Opportunities

I selected in TCS and six months internship traning and stipend 27000 per month.

Placement Experience

In MCA from 120 students 112 placed in MNCS Companies. And got good packages. Like TCS,Infosys,Edifecs,Deloitte,Maruti trident.

College Events

Saturnalia is technical and cultural fest held after a year. In this fest multiple colleges teams came and parcipate on several programs.

Fees and Financial Aid

If any students got rank 1 on Entrance that were hold by Thapar during admission got 100% scholarship on first sem fees. And after if any student got first position got 100% cashback of there sem fee.

Campus Life

All labs are available in Thapar that needs students like computer labs robotics and several for practices.

Hostel Facilities

Total five hostels three for boys and two for girls. Hostel J for boys is good hostel and it's much expensive than other hostel food is too good total 37000 per sem fees of hostel J without mess fee collect each month 2000 per months other hostel h and ho

Alumni/Alumna

In Thapar every year alumni meet held by Thapar. In alumni meet all seniors meet with juniors and held party and celebrate I also enjoyed alumni two times and enjoyed lot.

A Well Structured Curriculum

Likes

good infrastructure as well as good teachers
good placement in MNC's company and provide exam preparation for interview cracking
course curriculum is good and also provide training on professional development

Dislikes

too much expensive means high fees structure
SC/ST fees only 3000 and Hiamchali students fees 50000 per sem
hostel fees is also very high so please improve on it

Placement Experience:

The college provides placements only for 60 per cent of the above them in 10th and 12th so that time I was very disappointed. my plan after my degree is placement in an MNC. actually I am not eligible for the placement

The infrastructure of the college is well developed
The campus size of college is huge and very good

Dislikes

The minimum attendence is 75 percentage which is too much for students
We have to wear college uniform on 3 days
There are external fees which they tell us after joining college

Teh placement of our college is good the companies that visit our college are Microsoft Google and Adobe etc 50 percent students get placed averagely.plavemnet is good in our college highest package is 45.3 lpa and average package is 5-6 lpa

College staff is very co operative to students
They help in student's mental development
They encourage students for participating in different opportunities

Placement Experience:

A placement facility is provided by the college. There are special classes for students so that they get prepared for the placement drives and interviews. Eligibility criteria are different for different companies, the minimum is 60%. Various companies like Amazon, and Wipro visited our campus and the package is based on the companies. The average package is 4-5 lpa.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had chosen this course because of my background in IT course. As I had applied for a distance programme so we don't have any student ratio as such and we have a great mentor who helped me throughout my course. Lpu has helped us through webinars, online study material and online lectures for studies. The main feature is PCP classes where we get to know the faculty in person. My exams were conducted twice in year and it was quite easy to pass as we have proper guidelines.

From the last year of course students become eligible for campus placement. Tech Mahindra, Infosys etc. Companies visit to college. The average package offered by them is 1,20000 /annum and the highest package depends upon the experience .For freshers the highest package is up to 5L / annum.

University campus with world class library.

Remarks:

University's envioremnt is very positive . University must work on industrial and professional training for their students so even if they don't place they can have good exposure of industries from companies like tcs , john deer, tech Mahindra , Birla soft , Infosys etc on new technologies . They should think about MCA department which is lacking behind in the race of placements and quality education.
