Remarks

There should be a hostel facility for our accommodation and placements. These are the only things that are needed to be improved or focused on.

Entrance Preview

GATE and my score was 419 and I chose this particular college as town and country planning branch that I opted is only available in this college in the state and this is a very renowned college which was established in 1854.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Unlike other courses this course structure is completely different. The course mainly focuses on the subjects or the projects which are actually going on in the field. Our very first exercise is subdivision neighbourhood and redevelopment of an area in planning studio I. In planning studio II we have development plan of a city and in the third planning studio we have a regional plan of a district or a region. During the third planning studio itself Each student get two guides for their research work. We get to choose one from the lectures in our college and one external guide who is an expert in the respective field of research. So this is the structure of our curriculum.

Internships Opportunities

They do provide us with the internship. But most of the firms don't give stipend for the internship as the internship period is just of two months. But some firms give a stipend of Rs.5000 pm. As we our GATE qualified students we do get a stipend of Rs. 8000 per month from the government.

Placement Experience

2.5

There were no placements for the last year. But from this year their is a possibility of placements as recently a lot of Firms have applied for smart city projects. So their is a possibility of these firms coming to our college for placement activities.

'Regatta' literally means a series of boat races. Our college is one of very few colleges in the world to host a regatta. COEPs Regatta is one of a kind. Every year the Boat Club organizes the annual Regatta. The last edition of the Regatta featured an Eighter, one of the oldest in world. The Regatta showcases more than 165 unique boats every year. It scales new heights of innovation and skill. The Regatta has been a prestigious tradition in COEP since 1928. It is the magnificent outcome of rigorous practice, perceptive minds, devotion and intense determination. The COEP Regatta is a breathtaking event which exhibits the perseverance and talent of the students who practice day and night to entertain an audience of over 12000 with their remarkable array of boats

Fee Structure And Facilities

Being a government college the fee structure seems to be expensive. The annual fee structure is Rs.88,444. The other government colleges in the state as a fee structure ranging between Rs.25,000 to Rs. 50,000. So comparatively it is very expensive as compared to other government colleges

Fees and Financial Aid

We get a scholarship of Rs.8000 per month from the central government for clearing the GATE entrance exam.

Campus Life

4.5

In my department the girls ratio is greater than the boys so there is no such problems related to the gender ratio. We have a lot of clubs in our college. We have a boat club which in one of a kind in the country. All the students are treated equally irrespective of their sex, race, economic status, whereabouts, etc. We have a very chilled out environment in the campus

Hostel Facilities

2.5

We have no hostel facility from our college. The PG where I stay cost me Rs.4000 rental and another Rs.4000 for food. So in total it cost me Rs.8000 and the other expenses include travelling and commuting, Internet charges, stationary etc which cost an

Alumni/Alumna

We have a very good alumini network and they are always ready to help us. They are always invited to give guest lectures talk about their expirience in the field. They are even helpful in guiding the students with their research work. They even provide scholarships for the students.

Exam Structure

At times we have a hectic schedule during exams which we actually love but other times we do have events and stuff where we chill out. Majority of our projects are team projects and with them we indulge our self with qualities like team work, leadership,

Around 60-75% of students get placed. After graduation, i plan to work in software/AI roles and improve my skills through internship and Certifications.

Placement Experience:

The faculty-to-student ratio is about 1:20, and most teachers are quite approachable if you meet them during their free slots. I really appreciate the senior professors in the core departments because they have deep subject knowledge and explain concepts practically. However, some newer faculty members tend to stick strictly to the textbook or slides, which makes the lectures a bit dry. Since the college follows the SPPU pattern. I chose this course after a long CAP round process. Initially, I was aiming for VIT or DY Patil in Pune, and even checked out colleges in Mumbai and MVP KBTCOE in Nashik, but I ultimately landed here at AISSMS. The curriculum is quite comprehensive for building a strong engineering foundation, though I feel it could include more industry-relevant tools and coding workshops.

Course Curriculum Overview:

So the Computer Engineering is all about core subjects which are really helpful for future like cloud, iot and Database etc But the syllabus of the university change after every 4 years and there is nothing but removing one subject and add another similar subject but I think in era of Ai and automation the syllabus is sort of outdated like if you are getting in Second year you have to learn subject which you have not interested in so you have to learn those subjects anyway and if you want to learn more about new skills you have to do it by yourself.
