Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this to get a degree in computer science which I thought would be better for me. The course curriculum is good as of now. The faculty-and-student ratio is okay too. But all of the faculty here are contract-based I suppose but are of good knowledge. The faculty inspires students to gain knowledge and motivates them to be independent as much as possible. They train students to be disciplined and are strict in that term. The teachers are also well qualified and of a good experience. The term exams got postponed due to the weather conditions and state holidays but apart from that, every other exam is conducted timely. But I would blame the correction for the pass percentage of the students from the university, though you would find the paper to score well.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is 1lac as I chose AIML but it is comparatively very high as of other courses. The fee of cse and others is 45 thousand out of which 36000 would be given by the government as fee reimbursement. The hostel would also be cut off if they apply for a scholarship called E-PASS. The placements are getting better year by year. But I would say you could prefer any other college than AIML in terms of affordability and placements.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life is not the way you expect your college life would be. There are a total of just two events that students here await. Annual fest and freshers party would too wouldn't meet expectations but, Something is always better than nothing. But I would say all of it depends on the people you choose to spend your time with and it'll make everything worth it. But I enjoyed both of those. Many other festivals are being celebrated. The Library is the best though. The best one of all for those who prefer studying alone or are avid readers. The classrooms are also neat and are provided with all basic facilities. The sport is amazing for Cricket for guys. Girls could also excel in badminton. The tournaments are always happening and the faculty for it is the best. He is well trained and of very great experience and always chooses what is good for students. We have a coding club and other clubs may come up soon.

Hostel Facilities

4

As of hostels, couldn't be compared to other highly paid private ones but would say better when talking of govenment ones. The rules are strict for girls. The menu is ok too and is hygeinic. The hostel is free but you only have to be paying for the food which is of decent price only. We have no room facilities available as the place is in outskirts and is not a town too.

Admission

The process of admission is done through an entrance test called EAMCET. I got a decent rank of 26,000 and could be placed into top colleges with a btech in any engineering other than computer science. However, I opted for computer science instead and chose to get admitted into a government university. The cut-off in my was pretty much like that of any other top private college. The course fee is a total of 100000 and as I hold reservations and my parents aren't of the public sector, I get 36000 in fee reimbursement. The admission process took a time of 3 months due to covid but I think this time it happened better.

Other Applied Colleges

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
