Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is really good and designed as per the needsof industry excellence . There are so many electives which one will not get to study anywhere but COEP. Operations research, Advanced manufacturing, powerplant engineering , Finite element methods etc are few of the best elective subjects available to choose.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, College of engineering provides internships to students. Training and placement cell invites the various companies for internships and placements activities. Internships will be paid or unpaid depends on the companies. 20-25k is the general stipend. Overall experience about the companies visiting the campus is really good.
Placement Experience
100% placement is the legacy of our college. If you are a computer/IT/ ENTC/ INSTRU/ELECTRICAL OR MECHANICAL /PRODUCTION student, rest assured you are getting placed. Companies visiting the campus are multinational companies, Few of the best companies are, BAJAJ AUTO, ROLCE ROYCE, DAIMLER CRYSLER, VOLVO, CITI BANK, TATA STEEL/ TATA MOTORS etc. Highest package offered was 35 LPA and average package was 6-7LPA . For computer guys, its 10Lpa average.
College Events
There are so many curricular extracurricular technical non technical events on campus. Mind spark- technical event for all national level Regatta- boat club event Zest- national sports event Intracollege ports event, Departmental sports event, Social gathering for 3 days, Mind spark followed by the cultural programmes.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure has become quite expensive now. It was 55k for year, 5 years back . And now, it has touched 1 lac per annum. Developement fees is the largest contributor of all sub section for fees. For SCs and STs , education is almost free of cost. Exam fees, library fees, boat club fees , each and every fees is collected at the start of the year. For SCs and STs , every fees is exempted , so no need to pay a single rupee to the college for the sake of exam.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are too many scholarships offered by the private companies, governments. Central sector scholarship is the most availed scholarship for general category students. You can take a education loan from SBI branch in our college.
Campus Life
There are around 70 technical or nontechnical clubs or groups to participate. COEP builds world-class BAJA vehicle and robots for the competition. 1000:1000 is the almost possible gender ratio on campus. There are mechanical permanent workshops and few are temporary as per organized by other student clubs. Secularity and democracy are the principles adopted by our college.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility availed by the college has become quite expensive now, but the enjoyment at hostel has got another level of fun. Its really good to stay in hostel for food, study and the engineering life. You can stay outside for the cheaper rate and best accomodation . You will get to enjoy alot because of the location of the hostel.

Alumni network is very strong as college has got the history of almost 165 years. Each and every part of the world you go, you will get to meet the COEP ALUMNI, in case of help, sponsor and scholarships, they help us alot.
Exam Structure
As the college is autonomous , it has its own fee structure makes it expensive from other government colleges. Fee varies as per the category/caste of the student as per government rule. You will not be charged in between for the exam fee and labs fee. Its collected at very start of the year.
Admission
As vacancy remains fixed for every year, notification of exam released in January.form is filled.then after verification of form, CET cell conducted an exam. After that document verification after results and then admission process starts after your choices of admission. You have to go to the college to take an admission.
Faculty
Each and every teacher is experienced and having a good teaching skills. The basic criteria to become a teacher is a minimum Ph.d. . One has to become a master of a subject to become a teacher . Every teacher is more interested in taking more technical things into consideration.
