Course Curriculum Overview

I have chosen computer science and engineering because this was my aim. Most of the faculty are Dr That means they have done a PhD. As there are almost 40% Telugu speaking students soo all of the teachers teach by speaking English only. Our mid-term exams were in October and our end-term exams in December in both exams there is a negative marking of 25% (+1 and -0.25).

Class Size: 72Course Fees: INR 172800 per year

Placement Experience

From the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. The highest package was off last year is 62 LPA and the average package is 6.5 LPA. Talking about CSE students there are 8000 students so in the end only 10% of students get placements. My plan is to get an off-campus placement after my course.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our fee is 86400 per semester i think by comparison to other colleges near this rank have more higher rank than our fees. There is one scholarship for students who have a family income of less than 5lakhs university gives them a 30% scholarship. We get part-time jobs on campus only like we have to go to check electrical appliances which some students have complained about.

Campus Life

Recently a Coke Studio Indias concert was in our college in which a singer Sunidhi Chauhan came and a stand-up comedy show was also conducted in which Bassi came and many more. The library is full of books as I didn't discover it so I don't know about it. Sports tournament was conducted of mostly all sports the students who were interested could participate in that have participated in the cricket tournament. yes, our college has many clubs which are run by students only by taking the advice of the head teacher of that club i am also in one club optimizer club in which we learn creative skills.

Hostel Facilities

My room is a room of 4 members with all 4 separate beds and study tables and switchboard we have 3 fans and one window ac and attached toilet and bathroom in it. Mess food is good but the quality of chapati is not good. At the time of admission process in lpu. admission.in you get the option to select which room you want and mess too we have different chargers for both. Local Phagwara is best for PG we can get easy and affordable rooms there.

Hostel Fee: INR 80000 per year

Admission

We have to fill admission form at lpu.in and take Lpu nest exam which costs 1000rs if we pass category 3 means 150/300 then we get only admission and if we pass categories 2 and 1st then we get scholarship in some percentage decided by the university at that time. Application form dates get updated on lpu.in only.

Likes

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

Inside NITJ- Beyond the Brochure

Likes

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts
Skilled professional educators and tutors

Dislikes

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

I like the machines that's why I choose the mechanical branch in engineering line. Noida , Gurgoan , Chandigarh , Bengluru and many other areas for improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late
Great mentors and very helpful teachers who are always willing to help

Dislikes

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
