Course Curriculum Overview

5

Firstly I chose this course because I had a keen interest in computer science and engineering.I couldn't clear for any government college so I chose lpu as my college. Faculties are upto mark of average only as all other engineering colleges, like they are fully qualified and have the knowledge of the course but they lack to transfer the knowledge to the students properly. Exams are headache here, like about the mid terms and terms are fine we get proper time to prepare for that but then comes the continuous assessment(CA), like the name suggests we get a ca every week for different subjects, sometimes we are just preparing for ca and not focusing on classes. The difficulty level of exams are moderate if you concentrate in classes and do a little bit revision then it's easy to score good marks.

Internships Opportunities

5

In my knowledge I don't have a clear idea about any internship offers as I am currently in the first year. But with conversation with some of the seniors it is clear that the internships opportunities are there but for that competition is high and you have to do hard work by your own.

Placement Experience

5

The placement scenario in the college is quite a confusing, students get eligible for the placements in the 7th semester, although they can attempt for various internship offers. Big companies like Google, Microsoft, Swiggy, etc come here and offer placements. Highest package offers for btech cse was 50 lpa last year and average was around 6lpa. According to college website they mention 100% placement but only 80% people are eligible to sit for the placements. At the end lpu will give you all the opportunities required but you also have to do hard work from your side.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure of the lpu is very simple, the cost of tution fees for one year is 240000. Although it seems high for an year but through the lpu nest exam you can easily get around 30% scholarship, comparing to other good private colleges the fee structure is acceptable. In case of any other scholarships there are some that you can avail. Jobs are the major concern that you are looking for, so jobs here are tough to crack. Opportunities are good here, college provides all the neccesaties that you need to crack the job, there are special classes for your soft skills enhancement. Overall you also have to work hard from your side.

Campus Life

5

Fests are very common here, like every week ther is some event going on so life Is intresting here. Libraries are good and has sufficient books for studies, there are proper spacing for students to sit and study. Classrooms are good and fully ventilated, lighting and other things are fine. Sports are more promoted here like the diffrent sports activities and tournaments are conducted inside. Diffrent playgroundare available for each sports and even there is a swimming pool here. Clubs and organisations are good and sufficient here. They give us opportunities to enhance our skills and to interact with more people.

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostel have all the facilities that is needed.ac and non AC rooms both are provided. Geyser fan lights bed and table chair are provided, 24/7 electricity is provided. Mess food is average as expected, sometimes it's good to eat but sometimes you just have to sleep empty stomach. Hostel registration and booking can be directly done from the college website, hostel rooms are affordable as the facilities provided.

Admission

The admission process was very simple and straight forward. Firstly I gave the lpu nest exam on the basis of which I became eligible for admission and I got the 28 percent scholarship on the tution fees. The lpu nest exam is simple and easy you have to score just 200 out of 400 marks to qualify for the admissions, questions are easy and are all based on current syllabus of cbse class 12th. The application form is easily available and is easy to be filled. The one improvement I want to see is that the exam website should be upgraded more, because it has too many bugs

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
