Course Curriculum Overview

4

I was passionate about studying mechanical engineering. There's a decent faculty-to-student ratio. It's 1:11. The faculty are well-qualified and they teach us well. They are chilled out but strict when it comes to academics at NITRKL. The exams are held as per the schedule released by NITR at the start of the calendar year and they follow it on a strict basis. The exams are moderate and someone consistent in studies can fare well in them at ease.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Bajaj Auto gives 60k. It's a decent amount for a fresher intern. Microsoft gives 2.5lacs. It tops the list in intern stipend. Barclays gives 1.5 lacs. Tata Steel gives 80k. oracle gives 2 lacs. Namo gives 1 lacs.

Placement Experience

4.5

The students are eligible for campus placements in the final year of their course. There are companies like Barclays, Microsoft, Bajaj, Tata Steel and many more. A decent number of candidates are hired by these companies. The highest packages go up to 52lpa provided by Microsoft for the SDE role. 100% of placements are recorded by NITR. I have already been selected as an intern at Bajaj Auto and looking forward to joining it.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee hike policy isn't that harsh and manageable. The cost to study at NITR for a Gen student is 8 lacs for a 4-year course in most cases. I haven't got any scholarships or financial assistance from my college. I have been selected as an intern at Bajaj Auto.

Campus Life

4

Tech fest - in November. Annual fest - in January. Books and journals are plentily available in the library regularly. The amenities in the classroom are first class and they are designed in a modernistic approach. The campus of NITR is lively and sports fests are conducted in the months of Oct, and Nov. The inter-NIT sports fest is a great event for spectators and athletes who represent various campuses. The APS, Synergy, and cyborg are some of the best clubs of NITR.

Admission

We needed to clear the JEE Mains examination and get decent percentiles to qualify for NIT Rourkela. We can find the application form, application fees, and application dates on the collegedunia website and the official NTA website. The admission process is swift and efficient here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs
